What is Now You See Me 3 About?

The once infamous Four Horsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher) have disbanded. Eisenberg’s Atlas is now trying to create a new team by recruiting a younger generation of illusionists to pull off their next heist.

While originally claiming the other magicians are dead, Atlas clarifies: “To me. Things got too real for them. They gave up stuff.”

However, the original Horsemen aren’t separated for long. The two groups join forces to take down a dangerous criminal mastermind and pull off a high-stakes heist that centers around a massive diamond.

The film will be full of new mind-bending twists, turns, surprises, and magic.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher return as the Four Horsemen. Morgan Freeman will also return to his role as Thaddeus Bradley.

Entering the throng of magicians are Justice Smith, Araina Greenblatt, and Dominic Sessa, while Rosamund Pike stars as villain Veronika Vanderberg.

Mark Ruffalo, while not listed on the main cast, is rumored to be a part of the film. Daniel Radcliffe is also speculated to have a role in the film.

Behind the Scenes

Ruben Fleischer is directing the film from a screenplay written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese. The story is by Eric Warren Singer.

Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Bobby Cohen are producing the film.

You may recognize Fleischer from the Zombieland movies, Venom, and Uncharted. In an interview with TheWap, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson explained why Fleischer was the right man for the job.

“Ruben Fleischer is an absolute artist. He knows how to look at every moment and every scene as an opportunity to thrill and delight an audience. He came to us with a plan that grows and expands the size and scale of the world while simultaneously allowing us to make the movie for a really great, responsible budget.”

When is the Premiere?

After nearly ten years of waiting, Now You See Me 3 premieres in theaters on November 14th.

Success of Past Films

The first two films were blockbuster successes. Now You See Me grossed $350 million at the box office, while Now You See Me 2 grabbed $334 million.

When talking about the third movie, director Fleischer said, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical.”

Lionsgate announced in April that Fleischer would return to produce a fourth film for the franchise.
