The Duchess of Cambridge seems to always be looking for thoughtful ways to honor members of the Royal Family. Her subtle tribute to Princess Diana when leaving the hospital after giving birth to her and Prince William’s third child was a nice touch, but she also wore something to honor Queen Elizabeth.

Kate Middleton wore a red dress with a white collar when she introduced her newborn Prince to the world on St. George’s Day. It was a touching way to remember her mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who wore a similar outfit when Prince Harry was born.

If you look closer at Kate, you will see that she wore diamond and pearl drop earrings. These earrings were borrowed from the Queen. They were last worn by Her Majesty during her Golden Jubilee.

These earrings are a favorite of Kate’s and she has worn them on multiple occasions. Having the Queen for a Grandmother-in-law has a lot of perks, including the jewelry!

Kate Middleton Queen Elizabeth

What a nice and subtle way to honor the Queen as the newborn Prince made his world debut!

Many people were also wondering what Prince William and his wife were saying to each other as they showed off their third child. A lip reader has translated their conversation to put this question to rest!

William: Are you OK with him?

Kate: Yeah.

William: Look, there he is. Over there. [They wave to the left]

Kate: Let’s just wave over there. [They wave to the right]

Kate: Look, he is there. [They wave] It is a bit windy, eh? He might get cold. Let’s go now.

William: Sure

That’s it! Just like any regular parents, the future King and Queen of England were concerned that their son might be cold. Who could blame them for wanting to get him out of the wind?
