Iceland is boasting that it has virtually “eliminated” Down Syndrome from their country. They haven’t found a cure. Instead, their way of eliminating Down Syndrome is to end the lives of children with it.

Iceland has a 100% abortion rate for unborn babies who are diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Doctors have to inform all mothers of the genetic testing to determine if their child has an extra chromosome. Only 2 or 3 children with Down Syndrome are born annually in this country and that is because their mothers don’t get tested.

But, this has raised some ethical concerns as many Americans were horrified to hear this news. People with Down Syndrome are incredibly cheerful individuals. They can be described as God’s Prozac. But, they are targeted for elimination because they have an extra chromosome.

CBS came under fire for how they promoted their report on how Iceland “eliminated” Down Syndrome. Actress Patricia Heaton fired a rather strong shot at the network for this report.

CBS also showed footprints of an aborted baby with Down Syndrome that accompanied a prayer. This clearly shows the humanity of this child who was targeted and “eliminated.”

The full CBS report on how Iceland has essentially eliminated children with Down Syndrome is in the video below.

This is a clear discriminatory practice. Liberals want to provide the disabled with legal protections. But before birth, liberals are fine with targeting them for death.

These children have much to offer this world. Their happiness is contagious. It is heartless to think of them being systematically eliminated by ending their lives! Imagine if this joyous child with Down Syndrome did not have the opportunity to live.
