Canadian country star Brett Kissel encountered a performer’s nightmare when his microphone stopped working as he was about to sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” to kick off the NHL playoff game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Anaheim Ducks. But, everyone in the arena saved him as they all belted out the anthem together.
This is a heartening video. So many Canadians stepped up to the plate and enthusiastically sang our National Anthem. Compare that to washed up American football player Colin Kaepernick who takes a knee for his own anthem.

They nailed it! That was so superb and makes me want to learn the Canadian anthem if the situation is ever reversed!
Hockey fans and players have a patriotic affinity for the National Anthem. It’s a different crowd than the NFL!
