During her red carpet appearance on Monday, Miley Cyrus sparked engagement rumors by showing off a stunning diamond ring with longtime boyfriend, Maxx Morando.
The 33-year-old and Maxx, 27, made a dazzling red carpet appearance at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles, and they stunned with the chunky diamond ring adorning Cyrus‘s left ring finger.
Set in a thick gold band, the diamond was first spotted in photos shared on her Instagram during her 33rd birthday celebrations on November 23.
The couple began dating back in 2021, and while they’ve kept the details of their relationship under wraps, Morando has supported Cyrus at multiple public events and red carpets.
Cyrus told British Vogue in May 2023 that she began dating the drummer, who currently plays for the band Liily, following his stint with The Regrettes, “a couple of summers” prior.
“We got put on a blind date,” she revealed at the time. She clarified, saying, “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him.”
And while they kept their relationship out of the spotlight as best as they could, Cyrus soft-launched the relationship in November 2021 on her Instagram. The following month, the pair was spotted getting close during commercial breaks at the televised Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.
Back in 2024, a source told People that Cyrus and Morando were living together. The source claimed that Cyrus is “very happy with him.”
“Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious,” the source continued.
During Cyrus’ December 2024/January 2025 cover story for Harper’s Bazaar, she said her boyfriend is “very similar to me. We just don’t take life too seriously.”
Before Morando, Cyrus was in a years-long on-and-off relationship with Liam Hemsworth, whom she eventually married in 2018, and then divorced in 2020.
