On January 1, 2023, the Hollywood star Jeremy Renner of Hawkeye fame was crushed by a snow plow that weighed over 14,000 pounds.

The 53 year-old actor claims that he was dead for several minutes in the wake of this accident. Now, Renner is speaking out about his experience to reveal what the ‘afterlife’ is like.

Renner Reveals What Dying Is Like

“I’m glad I’m here, and I’m going to keep feeding what you take with you: those shared experiences with those you love. It’s eternal, and you take it with you,” Renner told Men’s Health magazine. “It’s connected. There’s no time, place, or space.”

“It’s magnificent. It’s the mind’s eye. Not your vision,” he continued. “You don’t need vision — you’re dead. Vision is part of the stupid body thing. But the mind’s eye you take with you. You see in your mind — that’s being dead. That’s what it’s like being dead.”

Sounds like he’s talking about the soul, doesn’t it?

Renner went on to say that being dead was an “awesome” experience for him.

“What you can visualize with your eyes closed. It’s awesome. It’s awesome!” he gushed. “And by the way, everyone’s in it! It’s what your imagination is. It was joy. It was exhilarating peace. Exhilarating peace.”

“You’re connected to everything all at once,” he added. “All the love from the third-grade teacher you fell in love with to the everything all at once. All that’s there. Continual. Perpetual. In perpetuity. It’s infinite. It’s magnificent.”

How Jeremy Renner Discovered the Afterlife

On the day of the accident, Renner was towing his nephew’s vehicle after it got stuck in the snow. While he was doing this, the snowplow began to move. Renner immediately took action to stop his nephew from being hurt.

Things went wrong when the snowcat started sliding and then “began to roll down the hill.” This led Renner to jump out of the 14,330 pound machine, and he was ultimately crushed by it.

Afterwards, Renner was left with over 30 broken bones. He had breaks to his ribs, knees, ankles, face, pelvis and hands. Meanwhile, other injuries of Renner’s included a collapsed lung, pierced liver and a contusion that left his left eye protruding out of his face.

Renner No Longer Has The ‘Energy’ For Challenging Roles

Though Renner has returned to acting in the wake of this accident, he recently said on the “Smartless” podcast that he simply doesn’t “have the energy” to take on roles that are challenging.

“I just don’t have the energy for it. I don’t have the fuel,” he explained. Renner added that he has “so much fuel to put into this reality, this body, all this stuff. I can’t just go play make-believe right now. Because that takes a lot of time to get right here every day just so I can have a positive thought, so I can progress, so I can always keep growing.”

Taking on challenging roles had been something that Renner had been passionate about in the past. Indeed, he’s been nominated for two Oscars and played the difficult role of Hawkeye in six Marvel movies.

Given all that Renner has been through, however, it’s understandable that he would want to take it easy in his career moving forward. Please join us in saying a prayer for Renner as he continues his recovery!
