Last week, we reported that Vanessa Trump had been diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 48. Now, it’s been revealed that Vanessa’s boyfriend, the golf legend Tiger Woods, has returned to rehab after “supporting” Vanessa through this diagnosis. This comes after Tiger was arrested on suspicion of DUI back in March.

Tiger Returns To Rehab

“Tiger should be in a planned program for awhile more,” a source close to Tiger told People Magazine. “He is doing fine and on the road to a healthier future.”

Tiger, 50, flew to a rehab facility in Zurich, Switzerland days after he was arrested for an alleged DUI on March 27. He was photographed returning on a private jet at Palm Beach International Airport on May 13.

“Tiger flew back to take care of some things and offer support to his girlfriend Vanessa’s health issues as well as to be here for her golfer daughter Kai’s high school graduation,” the insider continued. “He is a family oriented guy and nothing has changed.”

The source went on to say that Tiger and Vanessa, 48, “are a solid couple who have been there for the other.”

“They love each other and offering help when needed is an important part of their relationship,” the insider added. “It has made them both stronger, although Vanessa is a strong woman to begin with.”

Tiger ‘Wants To Feel Better’

Another source chimed in to say that Tiger is “doing what is necessary to get healthy and move forward in his life.”

“He wants to feel better and play golf,” this insider explained. “He wants to live a good life and be with those he loves. This is what he has to do to get to that point.”

A third insider said that though Tiger knows that rehab is important for him, he also felt like he “needed to be with” Vanessa as she revealed her cancer diagnosis.

“He and Vanessa are close and share their lives,” that source stated. “He needed to be with her and he was. They do what they can for the other in light of both of them having heavy schedules of responsibility. Life brings unexpected twists and turns and so far both of them have been there to help the other. They are lucky to have found each other.”

Vanessa’s Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Vanessa revealed her diagnosis to the world in a “personal health update” on Instagram that she posted on Wednesday, May 20.

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” Vanessa wrote. “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”

Vanessa is a mother of five children that she shares with her ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. The five kids are Kai, 19; Donald, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11.

Vanessa’s Private Frustration With Tiger

Though Vanessa is standing by Tiger in the wake of his DUI arrest, she’s also frustrated that he was out of the country when she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer.

“This is why she was so adamant that he get treatment and get himself on the right track,” a source close to Vanessa told Daily Mail. “She was facing a health scare and Tiger wasn’t able to really be there for her. So she was like, ‘I’m not going through this and holding your hand for addiction at the same time.’ That was basically the ultimatum she gave.”

“She’s got a huge support system aside from Tiger. But obviously she has enough on her plate to not have to worry about him and his addiction. So he went for treatment,” the insider continued. “She may not be saying she resents that he wasn’t here for all that. But the fact remains that she was getting a cancer diagnosis and he wasn’t there. He wasn’t able to support her like she needed. So she may not be saying that, but I know Vanessa and I guarantee that she’s thinking it. I know that 100 percent.”

This has clearly been an extremely difficult time for both Vanessa and Tiger. Please join us in saying a prayer for each of them as they fight their respective battles.
