The Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney is speaking out to praise the U.S. military. This comes as she’s revealed that her brother Trent is currently deployed.

Sweeney Praises U.S. Military

Sweeney, 28, took to social media on Tuesday to share a photo of her younger brother Trent, 25. In the image, Trent can be seen wearing full camouflage and a helmet during what appeared to be a video call from his deployment overseas.

“Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” Sweeney wrote over the photo.

“Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love!” the Euphoria actress added. “Thank you for your service :).”

Sweeney did not elaborate on where exactly Trent is deployed. It’s known that Trent serves in the United States Air Force. In August of last year, Trent was promoted to staff sergeant. Prior to that, he had served in the munitions squadron since 2020.

Over the past six years, Trent has been deployed overseas multiple times. It’s unclear if his current deployment has anything to do with the war in Iran.

Sweeney and her brother are known to be very close. Last summer, Trent jumped to her defense when she was outrageously accused of flirting with Nazism simply for taking part in an American Eagle denim campaign that used the slogan, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

In the ad, Sweeney said that genes are “passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color,” before delivering the punchline: “My jeans are blue.”

When Trent was promoted to staff sergeant, he poked fun at his sister’s controversy on social media.

“It’s them good jeans,” Trent wrote on his Instagram Story at the time alongside a photo of his official certification of his promotion.

Sweeney Avoids Politics

Sweeney has long been open about just how devoted she is to her family.

“I love my family, and I love where I came from,” Sweeney told Women’s Health in 2023. “Anything my family needs, I’m always there for them.”

Sweeney, who is a registered Republican, has also previously been accused of being a member of the MAGA right. Earlier this year, however, she insisted that her job is to create art and remain apolitical.

“I’ve never been here to talk about politics,” Sweeney told Cosmopolitan back in January. “I’ve always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of.”

“People want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn,” she continued. “But it’s somebody else assigning something to me, and I can’t control that.”

Sweeney went on to say that she is not a “hateful” person. She also said that there is “no winning” when it comes to speaking out about politics.

“I just have to continue being who I am, because I know who I am,” Sweeney concluded. “I can’t make everyone love me, I know what I stand for.”

In the far-left world of Hollywood, it’s rare to find a celebrity who is brave enough to publicly praise the U.S. military. We applaud Sweeney for having the guts to do just that.

God bless you both, Sydney and Trent Sweeney!
