Earlier this week, we reported that Prince Harry is desperate to reconcile with the British royal family. Now, Harry’s “list of demands” for this reconciliation have been revealed. One of the worst ones involves his wife Meghan Markle. Unfortunately for both Meghan and Harry, however, the royals aren’t having any of it.
Harry’s ‘List Of Demands’ For Reconciliation
Harry, 40, claimed to the BBC that he’d love to reconcile with his family.
“I would love reconciliation with my family,” Harry said back in May. “There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”
According to celebrity news reporter Rob Shuter, however, Harry has a “list of demands” for the royals if they want to have any kind of reconciliation.
“Harry doesn’t want another trip where he feels unprotected and exposed,” one insider alleged. “He wants iron-clad guarantees — not vague promises. Security and privacy are non-negotiable.”
These three demands are:
• Full security for himself, Meghan, and their children while in the UK — funded by the King.
• Press control coordinated by Buckingham Palace to keep paparazzi at bay.
• Meghan treated as HRH — complete with bows and curtsies, despite her stepping down as a working royal.
Royals Fire Back
Indeed, it seems that these demands have left courtiers “reeling.” It’s the third demand that has stirred up the most trouble among royals. In fact, Harry’s older brother Prince William, the heir to the British throne, have made it clear that the royal family will not be bowing to Meghan after all.
“Harry insists Meghan must be treated as HRH,” the source explained. “That means family member must show her the formal respect of bows and curtsies. For William, that’s a hard no.”
Despite this, Harry’s father King Charles is reportedly torn. While he doesn’t want to give in to these demands, the King is also desperate to reconcile with his youngest son.
“He wants peace and to see his son,” said one longtime palace veteran. “But these demands risk blowing open old wounds.”
“Harry’s offering reconciliation — but at a price,” one courtier concluded. “And that price includes the entire royal family bowing to Meghan.”
This comes after Harry and Meghan have spent years publicly bashing the royal family. They stepped down as senior royals in January of 2020. Harry and Meghan then moved across the world to Southern California. It’s here that Meghan was born and raised.
Royal Experts Weigh In
In the years since then, Harry and Meghan have been relentlessly attacking the royal family in books, documentaries, interviews, and more. That’s why royal experts believe that it’s unlikely that the royals will ever be able to trust Harry and Meghan again.
“Prince Harry wears his heart on his sleeve,” royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News. “Sources have stated that he seems bereft, lonely and lacking direction… It’s a big shame that he cannot rekindle a private relationship with his father or spark peace talks behind closed doors. However, at this point, it’s understandable why the royal family will not touch him with a barge pole.”
Royal expert Hilary Fordwich chimed in to express her belief that Harry is currently immersing himself in charity work like never before because he has hit “rock bottom.”
“This is a move more out of necessity and hope for reconciliation, but how is the family ever to trust him or his motives?” she questioned. “There are such deep-seated grievances from all his sordid revelations, one doubts they can ever be overcome.”
We applaud William for defiantly refusing to have the royals bow down to Meghan. In the end, if Meghan despises the royal family so much, she doesn’t deserve the perks that come with being a royal. It’s as simple as that!
