Earlier this month, we reported that Meghan Markle’s new podcast has flopped, as it has failed to garner a substantial audience. Now, things have gotten even worse for Meghan. Indeed, it’s been revealed that A-list stars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have brutally ignored her desperate attempts to get them on her podcast.
Meghan Humiliated As A-Listers Ignore Her
Meghan’s new podcast “Confessions of a Female Founder” premiered on April 8. Meghan’s goal with this podcast was to focus on the “unfiltered stories behind the successes of notable female founders.”
Now that three episodes of this podcast have dropped, Meghan has allegedly gone into full panic mode. Indeed, it’s become clear that the public has virtually no interest in this program.
Insiders have since spoken out to claim that Meghan had hoped to interview A-listers “like Beyonce and Taylor Swift.” Unfortunately for Meghan, however, these celebrities appear to want nothing to do with her.
“No one’s picking up the phone. The show is not landing,” a source close to the podcast production team told Daily Mail. “There’s no Taylor Swift. No Beyoncé. Not even a Hailey Bieber.”
“And when you’re pitching female empowerment, that’s a problem,” the insider added. “It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She’s not happy about her lack of appeal.”
Another source close to the production alleged that Meghan has “dialed all the big names.” This insider went on to say that Meghan pitched these celebrities on the idea of having “honest conversations with women who’ve built from the ground up, faced challenges and kept going.” Despite this, these calls also reportedly went unanswered.

Meghan Resorts To Interviewing Non-Celebrities
Since A-listers like Swift and Beyoncé have been ignoring her calls, Meghan has been forced to resort to booking far less well-known names for her podcast interviews.
On her debut episode, Meghan interviewed the Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. Bumble is a popular dating app among young people. In her second episode, Meghan interviewed Reshma Saujani, founder of the nonprofit organization Girls Who Code.
Then, in her third episode, Meghan sat down with Kadi Lee. She’s the co-founder of the hair care and wellness brand Highbrow Hippie.
Each of these women have created impressive businesses. However, none of their names are exactly famous enough to be draws to convince people to listen to a new podcast. If Meghan’s goal was to interview A-list female stars, we can only imagine how humiliated she was to be forced to resort to sitting down with women who the average podcast listener has never heard of.

Critics Torch Meghan’s Podcast
Making matters even worse for Meghan is the fact that critics have also been savaging her podcast. The Guardian described it as being “stomach-turning.” Other critics have accused Meghan of constantly redirecting her interviews “towards her own experiences” instead of asking her guests hard-hitting questions.
The Times of London‘s columnist James Marriott gave the podcast a one-star review. He did this in a scathing column that he titled “Meghan’s vapid lessons in self-love.” In it, he wrote that he was “seized by an urge to beat my head against the wall” after listening to Meghan’s first podcast episode.
“Receiving business advice from a Californian multimillionaire who owes a significant part of her fortune to marrying a prince is about as enjoyable and as illuminating as you would expect,” Marriott quipped.
Ouch, that has got to sting for Meghan!
In the end, it’s easy to see why A-listers like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are avoiding Meghan’s podcast like the plague. Only time will tell if Meghan is able to turn this podcast around, but it’s certainly not looking good for her at the moment!
