Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, has found herself in hot water as she’s being accused of copying his late great mother Princess Diana. Indeed, a renowned fashion expert is speaking out to reveal why she believes Meghan does this.
Meghan Accused Of Copying Diana
A post is going expert on X, the social media platform known as Twitter. It was made by a fashion expert named Rebecca, who runs the prominent handle @remisagoodboy, which has over 71,000. The post is a collage of the many times that this expert believes that Meghan blatantly copied Diana in 2025.
“As promised! 2025 was a bountiful year for pretending to be Harry’s Mum,” the fashion expert sarcastically wrote. “I am sure there will be another update, sooner rather than later. This is not normal behavior.”
Rebecca further opened up about this in an interview with The Express. She went so far as to reveal exactly why Meghan, 44, is allegedly out to copy Diana, who died in a car crash back in 1997 at the age of 36.
“Unfortunately, I believe that Meghan always looks to others for style. As we know, it isn’t just Diana or Princess Catherine,” the fashion expert began. “At different periods of her life, Meghan seems to rely heavily on the style and taste of those in her world or those she admires.”
Rebecca went on to refer to the time Meghan spent living in Toronto, Canada. She was living there filming her show Suits when she met Harry, 41.
“I have noticed that during Meghan’s days in Toronto; a lot of her looks mimicked her then close friend Jessica Mulroney,” the fashion expert continued. “Over the past year or two, I now see Meghan is mirroring a lot of clothing and even the hairstyle of friend Kelly McKee Zajfen.”
‘I Do Believe This Is Intentional…’
Despite this, Diana is still the main figure that Meghan is trying to copy these days, according to this expert.
“I do believe this is intentional as Meghan wants these comparisons to be made,” she explained.
Rebecca acknowledges that in the fashion world, people copy other figures all the time. According to her, however, Meghan has taken it too far when it comes to Diana
“Meghan, seems to take it to a much different level,” she stated. “From her mirrored body language, to certain color combinations or choice in accessories.”
Not stopping there, the fashion expert pulled out specific examples. She cited a “purple and red outfit” that Meghan had “worn in Birkenhead back in 2019, the deliberate sunglasses placement in Rwanda or the entire outfit, right down to the shoes worn in Nigeria during the last morning and flight home.”
Rebecca firmly believes that Meghan’s fashion choices that resemble Diana’s are strategically being curated in the hopes of maximizing the impact of her public image.
“This is one hundred percent for public impact,” the expert alleged. “Let’s not forget the old adage ‘Bad Press is still Press’ and moves like these keep her in the press and a hot topic on social media.”
This May Backfire On Meghan
Unfortunately for Meghan, however, Rebecca believes that this may backfire on her.
“This completely undermines any credibility,” the British fashion expert warned. “I have read that Meghan wants to establish herself as a prominent figure in the fashion world, but to do so she really needs to figure out who she is first and foremost.”
“I think her style should reflect who she is; A mother of two, a business woman and whether people like it or not, a celebrity,” Rebecca concluded. “She should lean into the California designers that she enjoys and sometimes showcases, but she does need to introduce a little more color into her wardrobe.”
Diana is widely considered to be one of the most beloved royals of all time. In contrast, Meghan’s approval ratings have been plummeting in recent years. If Meghan was hoping to replicate some of Diana’s popularity, it certainly hasn’t been going well for her.
Whether it’s been a conscious decision or not, the collage above certainly indicates that Meghan has been dressing like Diana quite a bit. Perhaps Meghan should start switching things up in 2026, because the public is starting to catch on. In the end, we simply aren’t as dumb as Meghan seems to think we are.
Sorry, Meghan, but you’re no Princess Diana!
