Jennifer Lopez has “cried for two months” over her twins graduating.
The 56-year-old singer-songwriter is in disbelief over how fast 18-year-olds Max and Emme, whom she has with her 57-year-old ex-husband, singer-and-actor Marc Anthony, are growing up.
Twins Graduating
Appearing on the May 27 episode of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jennifer told the 58-year-old host that they attend different high schools, and that “Tomorrow one of them graduates.”
The Office Romance actress joked, “Don’t talk about it cause we start crying.”
Jimmy asked his guest if she would be in tears at the ceremony, to which Jennifer admitted, “Yeah. I’ve been crying for two months.”
The presenter jokingly wondered if Jennifer would “look around at the other parents and see who’s not crying and think, ‘I love my children more than they do?'”
As the On the Floor singer laughed, she replied, “No. I think all the parents are going to be crying at some point.”
Jennifer spoke about whether it was tricky that Max and Emme go to different schools, and Lopez said, “It’s fine. I want them to be happy, go where they want to go, and do what they want to do.”
Different Colleges
The Let’s Get Loud hitmaker said her children will attend different colleges.
Jimmy then asked, “I wonder because there’s a commotion everywhere you go, will you be able to move them into their dorms?”
After Jennifer said she “absolutely” will be hands-on, Jimmy wondered if the trio would “go to Target” to “buy them sheets.”
The Unstoppable alum replied, “Yeah, we have sheets at the house. We’re gonna pack up their rooms here, and they’re going to take all the things they want to take to their dorm.”
Jennifer jokingly hopes Max and Emme’s time at college will zoom by so that she can have the pair back at home.
Or, as the Can’t Get Enough artist quipped, they may realize that “their dorms are too small and that they’re going to miss home, I hope, and want to come back real soon!”
Excited for Their Futures

But, ultimately, Jennifer tells people who ask about her children leaving for college that she is excited for Max and Emme to chase their dreams.
The Selena entertainer said, “It’s going to be great. I want them to go out there, I want them to do what they want to do. They have big dreams. They have things they want to do. It’s going to be great.”
Jennifer added that she was in “tears” and spent “two days” writing messages about Max and Emme for their yearbooks.
Jimmy asked, “Do you write two different things, or since they’re twins, you just put the same thing?”
And the All I Have songstress laughed as she said, “No, Jimmy, no. They’re two different people.”
