Brad Pitt will reportedly never marry again after his bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie, which stretched on for eight long years.
Indeed, though they split in 2016, their divorce was not finalized until December of 2024. To this day, the two of them are still battling it out in court over their French vineyard Château Miraval.
Now, those close to Pitt are saying that he will never marry again for one sad reason after this agonizing divorce.
‘A Campaign Of Alienation…’
Friends of Pitt’s say that the actor will not marry again or have any more children after Jolie “alienated” him from their six kids. Pitt, 62, and Jolie, 50, share six kids: three adopted children Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, and Zahara, 21, and Pitt’s biological children Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17. All of them are believed to be estranged from Pitt, as they have taken their mother’s side in this divorce.
“There has been a campaign of alienation [by Jolie] which has been successful,” a friend of Pitt’s told Daily Mail. “The antagonism is huge. He has been alienated from the kids completely. It is devastating to him.”
The twins are now the only ones who are under 18. This means that they are required to submit to court-mandated visits from Pitt, a condition of his divorce settlement with Jolie. Despite this, Pitt has reportedly barely seen them all year. While this is partly because he has been working, it’s also because the twins want nothing to do with him. Once they turn 18 in July, it’s likely that they’ll stop seeing Pitt altogether, just as their siblings have.
Pitt Skips Daughter’s Graduation
Last week, Pitt was absent when his adopted daughter Zahara graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. According to TMZ, Pitt did not reach out to Zahara before her graduation.
“Nothing prevented him from showing up for her,” a source said at the time. “Or ever visiting her. The day was about all she accomplished. Not whether he was willing to attend.”
However, a Pitt insider fired back by saying, “You can’t have it both ways – to promote a complete estrangement and then criticize someone for not going to an event when you’ve made sure that they would not be welcome. That’s not a situation which he created.”
Zahara dropped the last name Pitt while she was in college. At her graduation, her name was read as “Zahara Jolie.”
Pitt And Jolie’s History
Pitt and Jolie met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. They soon split and he immediately began dating Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie went on to marry in 2014 in a ceremony at their winery in rural France. Jolie then filed for divorce just over two years later in 2016. She filed for divorce days after an alleged altercation on a private jet flight. There, Jolie alleges that Pitt was abusive to her and their six children.
Pitt has been dating the jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, 33, since 2022. His friends say that though they are “very happy” and Pitt “enjoys the peace and support of his easygoing girlfriend,” they doubt that he will be marrying her in the wake of his traumatic divorce.
“He has a great partner who he appreciates but there is no rush in that direction,” one Pitt insider said.
This has clearly been an extremely difficult situation for everyone involved. Here’s hoping that Pitt and Jolie can end their final legal battle over their winery soon so that everyone in their family can move on with their lives.
