Yesterday, we reported that sources were alleging that Sean “Diddy” Combs has become so jealous of the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO murderer Luigi Mangione that he is “throwing tantrums” in the jail that the two of them currently share. Now, Diddy is firing back to address these rumors head-on.
Diddy Breaks His Silence On Mangione Rumors
Diddy, 55, and Mangione, 26, are both currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Insiders have alleged that Diddy is jealous of the attention that Mangione has received from their fellow inmates since his arrest. Sources close to Diddy, however, claim that this is not the case at all.
“This story has been completely made up, and there is no truth [to] it,” one Diddy insider told US Weekly.
Diddy has been held at this facility since September after he was arrested and charged with human trafficking and racketeering. He has been denied bail, and is currently awaiting trial, which is set to begin in May.
Meanwhile, Mangione has been accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on the streets of Manhattan on December 4. This was allegedly a targeted assassination that was meant to send a message about healthcare in the U.S.

Diddy’s Alleged ‘Tantrums’
“Diddy has been throwing tantrums over the fact that Luigi is getting all of the attention in prison and is being revered as a hero after literally murdering someone on camera,” one source previously told Daily Mail.
Diddy has long claimed that he is innocent of all of the charges against him. Despite this, he gets “so much hate inside the lock up while Luigi gets so much love.”
“Even in prison, Diddy’s ego is bigger than life,” the insider continued.
The source went on to say that Mangione is “loved by the prisoners and is not having a difficult time dealing with everything because he has gotten so much support with prisoners who have shared their stories of losing loved ones due to inadequate healthcare.”
“Not to mention the fact that the prison, itself, faces constant allegations of inadequate healthcare to those who are locked up,” the insider added.

Diddy Struggles Behind Bars
Seeing Mangione thrive behind bars may have struck a nerve for Diddy, as he’s been struggling in jail for months.
“The food is inedible, from what I’ve been told,” one of Diddy’s lawyers previously said, “It’s violent. Someone like Mr. Combs might be a target for certain things. We can’t let that happen.”
Even with the attention that Mangione is allegedly receiving, however, the Metropolitan Detention Center is no picnic.
“It’s a terrible, horrible place,” said an inmate who spent three months in the jail in 2019. “There’s no air movement, and the food is slop.”
Coincidentally, Diddy and Mangione actually share a legal team. However, they have yet to meet one another at the time of this writing. That’s because Mangione remains in solitary confinement while Diddy is with the jail’s general population.
“Diddy has not had any contact with Luigi Mangione despite sharing the same legal team,” the source explained. “They do not spend time together and the two really have zero in common.”
Both Diddy and Mangione have plead not guilty to all the charges that they are facing. Only time will tell how their respective cases will turn out for them.
