Dave Coulier, who is best known for playing Uncle Joey on the sitcom Full House, is a two-time cancer survivor. Indeed, he revealed back in February that he had gone into remission for a second time.

In a new interview, Coulier is revealing that he has realized that “everything” in his “life was toxic” before his cancer battles.

‘Everything In My Life Was Toxic…’

“I wanted to know, ‘Why did my lymphatic system crash?’ And I realized as I went down the rabbit hole, everything in my life was toxic,” Coulier, 66, admitted while appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “My toothpaste, my shampoo, the garbage bags, the toilet paper, everything, skin cream, everything.”

“I said, ‘I need to change this, but how do I do it?’ It’s a pretty daunting task to change your lifestyle like that,” he continued. “So I changed one thing. I replaced my toothpaste. And I thought, ‘I put that in my mouth every day, I’m gonna start there.'”

Coulier’s Cancer Battles

Coulier was first diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in October of 2024. One year later, in October of 2025, Coulier was diagnosed with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer. This was particularly devastating, as Coulier had just celebrated his victory in his first cancer battle a few months before.

When Coulier went in for his six-month checkup and PET scans, doctors discovered a flare-up had returned as an enlarged tumor. The comedian initially thought that the tumor was caused by his lymphoma. However, doctors later concluded that the two cancers were unrelated to one another.

In December of 2025, Coulier underwent 35 rounds of targeted radiation to fight his second form of cancer. Two months ago, he made the happy announcement that he had gone into remission.

“It’s been a roller coaster ride for sure,” Coulier said during an interview with Good Morning America in February. “I’m in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been.”

Coulier went on to say that he decided to go public with his cancer battles in the hopes of helping others.

“I never wanted to be the poster boy for cancer, believe me,” he told viewers. “But now I feel like I can encourage people to get those prostate exams and mammograms. Talk to your doctors and get ahead of this.”

Coulier’s New Online Tool

Coulier has since started the online tool Awear Market as a way to help others pinpoint toxicities in their daily lives.

“Your journey starts with just one thing,” Coulier told host Kelly Clarkson in their latest interview. “I thought, let’s build a website to help people. So I became a professional label reader. I’m very aware now, and it’s what I’m wearing on my skin, my clothing, everything.”

“So I started Awear Market, and we found all these mom-and-pop companies around the United States that are making soap in their garage,” he added. “They’re making shampoo. They’re making snacks, dog treats, stuff for kids. So we champion those small businesses. They’re amazing, and they’re doing the right thing.”

“I get to be kind of the flag bearer of all of this movement that I think that people are just naturally gravitating toward,” Coulier concluded.

God bless Coulier for using his platform to help others in such a powerful way. Indeed, we would all do well to take some time to figure out what might be toxic in our own lives.

We’re so happy to see that Coulier is so happy and healthy these days. Please join us in saying a prayer for Coulier’s continued good health!
