Last week, we reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were in danger of losing their $100 million Netflix deal after their new series Polo flopped with critics and audiences alike. Now, things have gotten even worse for Meghan, as her upcoming Netflix cooking show is rumored to be in danger of being axed before it even comes to fruition.
Meghan Gets Crushing News
For the past year, it’s been rumored that Meghan is working on a new Netflix show. The program allegedly celebrates “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.” The show was meant to complement Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard brand.
Unfortunately for Meghan, however, it’s possible this program may never get off the ground now. Indeed, there is no sign of a release date for this series. One Netflix insider confirmed to Daily Mail that “Meghan’s cookery show may not see the light of day.”
If it does somehow get released, the show would be “make or break” for Meghan and Harry when it comes to having any future in television.
“It’s make or break,” another source confirmed. “People say Netflix are exhausted. It’s so much work with her and, bluntly, the ‘deliverable’ does not seem to be worth it.”
“Her show will have to be an enormous hit to turn around their deal and their reputations in this town,” a separate entertainment executive added in agreement.
What did Netflix think when they were signing up with members of the Royal Family… that it would be easy to work with them?

Hollywood Turns On Meghan
It isn’t known how much, if any, of Meghan’s cooking show has actually been filmed at this time. It was believed that Meghan was working on it back in June. Then, she was seen being filmed at a grocery store and doing a photo shoot in Beverly Hills.
One source said that after Polo flopped so badly, “There won’t be another deal. There may be one offs but that’s it.”
The A-list stars who initially flocked to Meghan and Harry seem to have taken notice that they may be on the outs with Hollywood. Last weekend, they were noticeably absent from the surprise 70th birthday party that Oprah Winfrey threw for her best friend Gayle King.
“A-listers are now actively keeping away from them and events they are apparently going to attend,” the insider explained. “One told me ‘it’s not a good look to be around them.'”
Meghan’s Worst Nightmare
This has all undoubtedly come as a devastating blow for Meghan. She spent years trying to make it as an A-list actress before her marriage to Harry. Though Meghan was eventually cast on the cable network show Suits, she never achieved the A-list fame that she craved until she became engaged to Harry in 2017.
After marrying in 2018, Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they stepped down as senior royals in 2020. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. There, Meghan scored a Netflix deal the likes of which she only could have dreamt of during her days as a struggling actress.
Since then, however, it seems that Netflix has learned the hard way exactly why Meghan never achieved Hollywood success on her own merits. In the end, it seems that Meghan’s Hollywood dreams may finally be dead in the water.
