The Hollywood star William Shatner of “Star Trek” fame is celebrating his 93rd birthday today, and fans can’t believe just how young he looks!

Shatner’s Latest Appearance

Daily Mail reported that Shatner showed off his youthful appearance on Thursday while attending the premiere of his documentary You Can Call Me Bill at the Culver Theater.

Shatner told People Magazine before the premiere that promoting this film has been “a little awkward.”

“It’s a documentary about me, and I’m expected to help sell it by going out and talking about me, and I don’t like to talk about me,” he explained.

“I gave what I hoped was the way I truly felt and the masks come off,” he later added. “So there I am somewhat naked — a mixed metaphor, if you will. And so the film is more the truth and more about me than I can manage, or as much as I can manage, but it’s a little awkward. It’s like getting undressed.”

Shatner’s Secret To Longevity – Fans Stunned By His Age

Earlier in the week, Shatner told the TODAY show that his secret to longevity is not letting people know his real age.

“You’ve got a big birthday coming up haven’t you,” host Craig Melvin asked, to which Shatner responded, “Oh I’ve always got a birthday coming up.”

“93 on Friday,” Melvin replied, to which Shatner shook his head in disbelief and said, “I am 93.”

When asked specifically what his secret to longevity is, Shatner quipped, “Don’t tell anybody!”

‘Getting Older Is Terrifying’

Shatner previously admitted that “getting older is terrifying” after he turned 90.

“It’s disgusting,” Shatner said, according to CBC Radio. “It’s a disgusting number. I mean, I don’t like 90. When I heard that 90 was coming up, I thought, ‘What the heck is that?’ I remember 90 way back when I was in Canada and I thought, ’90! People don’t live till 90.’ And here I am.”

“Getting older is terrifying,” he added.

Shatner went on to recall feeling old when he could not remember the name of a movie.

“That shaft of fear hits you,” he explained. “Like, wait a minute, I don’t know where I’m going. I’m totally lost. I totally don’t know where I’m going and what I’m doing. I had that for a moment — a split second.”

Shatner is a true living legend, and there will never be another one like him. Here’s hoping he has a great birthday, and many more to come!
