A former star on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is being accused of multiple sexual assaults.

According to a lengthy and detailed report by Rolling Stone, Darius Pierce, better known as Shangela, is being accused by multiple men of sexually assaulting them.

According to Rolling Stone, four people are accusing Shangela, whose legal name is Chantaize Darius Jeremy Pierce, of either sexually assaulting them or attempting to have sex with them “when they were too inebriated to consent.

There is also a fifth accuser who alleges that Shangela tried to have sex with them even though this person claims to have rejected the drag star.

From Fox 11, “According to Rolling Stone, Shangela’s attorney called the allegations discussed in the entertainment magazine’s article “false and unsupported by any evidence.”

As of Monday, March 18, the drag star have not issued a statement on social media regarding Rolling Stone’s report and the allegations linked to the entertainer.

Shangela’s last post was in relation to the drag star’s appearance at the GLAAD awards. Shangela has a massive social media following, with about 1.6 million followers on Instagram. The drag star was even featured as one of the headlining performers for OUTLOUD Music Festival back in June of 2023.

Kamala Harris’ White House Guest

In June 2022, Shangela was invited to the White House by Vice President Kamala Harris.

People reported at the time, “Vice President Kamala Harris invited Pierce to speak as Shangela on Tuesday evening at a Pride Month event she hosted at her home, also known as Number One Observatory Circle. According to Pierce, the evening itself marked the first time a VP has hosted a Pride event at the residence.”

Pierce posted a photo with Harris on Instagram and wrote, “I woke up today asking myself ‘did that really just happen?’ … Thank you Madame @vp for being an authentic ally and for not only holding this LGBTQ event at ur residence, but for also inviting me to make a few welcoming remarks.”

Back in 2019, video went viral on social media in which Shangela was seen teaching Harris how to pop a fan.

According to Rolling Stone, the investigation into Shangela’s sexual assault accusations began in November of 2022.
