Shannon Sharpe Reportedly Departing From ‘Undisputed’ And Co-Host Skip Bayless

The talking team of sportswriter Skip Bayless and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe have formed an entertaining duo since 2016. Their show, Skip & Shannon: Undisputed, has been a staple for Fox Sports and one of the top-rated sports talk shows of all time.

That partnership appears to be reaching an end, however, based on not only rumors but also replies to social media posts by Sharpe himself.

While the pair have been known to pull no punches when debating each other, their time together has usually remained harmonious. But in the last several months, stories began to emerge of a rift between Sharpe and Bayless. They engaged in a bit of a public spat following Damar Hamlin’s injury on Monday Night Football in 2022, and there have been some smaller spats since.

Earlier this week, The New York Post reported on Wednesday that Shannon Sharpe would be exiting the program following the conclusion of the 2023 NBA Finals. And while the former tight end didn’t officially confirm the story, he did like some social media posts that referenced it.

Sharpe’s subtle sniping sealed the deal in the eyes of the fans and media. By yesterday afternoon, it was basically accepted that Sharpe is all but gone.

Fox Sports did not respond to a request for comment. Sharpe could not be reached for comment, and he also didn’t address it on his show on Thursday.

Shannon Sharpe played in the NFL for 14 seasons, with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, winning three Super Bowl Championship. He ranks third all-time for tight ends in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Sharpe was elected to the pro football Hall of Fame in 2011.
