Martha Stewart Proud To Be A ‘Sex Symbol’ At 81 – ‘Good Example For Others’

Martha Stewart is speaking out this week to say that she feels “fantastic” about being a sex symbol at 81 years of age.

‘Good Example For Others’

“It’s a good example for others, actually,” Stewart told InStyle of her sex symbol status. “I’m a teacher. I’m trying to teach others that you can look great. There’s no reason to slump around.”

Stewart went on to say that her secrets to maintaining a young look include Pilates, organic food and skin care.

“I have all organic food. I don’t diet necessarily, but I watch what I eat,” she explained. “I do Pilates three times a week with an instructor. I have a massage. I go to a chiropractor. These are all things I just do to keep feeling good.”

Stewart is already looking forward to showing off her toned legs this summer.

“I love sort of baggy shorts, so I have accumulated a small collection of shorts,” she said. “I’ve been working on my legs at Pilates, and I’m going to show them off this summer.”

When it comes to skin care, Stewart uses pricey products like Mario Badescu serums and Clé de Peau.

“I know they’re very expensive, but they actually work,” she admitted. “If you have good skin care, you can have beautiful skin. And it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. You just have to do it.”

Stewart Happy To Be Single

Fox News reported that Stewart is currently single, and that she was previously married to Andrew Stewart from 1961 until they divorced in 1990. Earlier this year, Stewart revealed that she doesn’t have time for dating these days.

“I know a lot of eligible men,” Stewart told E! News back in March. “I think they really want a woman who will take care of them, so I’m still not quite in the position where I can take care of a man full-time because I work too much.”

“If I analyze my life, I think the work has taken precedence over the romance,” she added. “I have a hard time making room for both and it’s not the highest priority that I have a boyfriend, but it would be nice!”

Stewart also said that her main dating red flags are bad breath and a lack of generosity.

Stewart Has ‘Healthy Eating Habits’

In this same interview, Stewart talked about how she stays healthy and youthful .

“I have healthy eating habits,” she stated. “Every day, I start with a delicious green juice, and I grow the vegetables myself. That green juice is full of amazing nutrients and that sort of starts my day, but before I even drink the green juice, I’ve been to the Pilates studio with my trainer. Pilates has helped tremendously, I think it’s the greatest thing.”

“I never go to bed with my makeup on, I cleanse my face extremely well with a cleansing oil and warm cloth, and get all signs of makeup off,” she continued, adding that she uses hyaluronic acid and peptides to Vitamin C and rich creams.
