The Hollywood star Chris Pratt has found himself being viciously attacked online once again this week, this time for leaving his ex-wife Anna Faris out of his gushing Mother’s Day post last weekend.

Pratt Praises His Family
Pratt, 43, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a photo of himself with his current wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, her mom Maria Shriver and his mother Kathy. Pratt and Schwarzenegger, 33, are the parents of two young daughters.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers out there. Especially grateful today for Katherine. You’re a wonderful partner. You’ve provided me such a blessed life,” Pratt wrote in the caption. “Our two daughters are so lucky to have you and you’re the best step mama to Jack. And to my mom, Kathy, you raised us with such love and light and laughter— so grateful for you today and always.”
“And to Maria, the best Mama G, I’m lucky to have you as a mother-in-law. And to all of the other moms in my life, I’m so grateful for all you do- thank you so much. Hope you feel celebrated today,” Pratt continued.
Pratt Hit With Backlash
While this post may seem innocent enough, fans were quick to express outrage that Pratt made no mention of his first wife Anna Faris, who he shares a 10 year-old son names Jack with, according to Daily Mail.
“What about your first wife? she’s being super mom raising your first child,” one fan wrote, with another going so far as to call Pratt “TRASH!”
“ALSO HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ANA.. THE ONE WHO MADE YOU A FATHER, THE ONE WHO HELPS RAISE YOUR FIRST CHILD SMH,” a third fan commented. A fourth wrote, “That was very nice recognition of the mothers in your life, wife, mom, mom in law, however it would not have killed you to acknowledge the mother of your first child by name, like really.”
“That’s not right, I’ve lost so much respect for you and the fact of NOT ACKNOWLEDGING your first child’s mom bc the fact that she’s doing more with constant doctor visits and has been there for your 1st child the least thing you could do is thank her as the mother of YOUR 1st child,” yet another fan commented. “It automatically shows the ignorance on your behalf!”

Previous Attack On Pratt And His Family
This isn’t the first time fans have attacked Pratt and his family in this way. Last year, Pratt was hit with backlash when he thanked Schwarzenegger for giving him a “healthy” daughter. Some saw this as a dig at Faris and Jack, who was born prematurely and had some medical complications.
Pratt was open afterwards about just how hurtful these attacks were.
“That is f***ed up,” he stated at the time. “My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s nine. And it’s etched in digital stone.
“It really f***ing bothered me, dude,” he continued. “I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are—to the people close to me—a real burden.”
