Whoopi Goldberg Loses It Over Bud Light Boycotts – ‘It’s Just Beer!’

Over the past few weeks, conservatives like Kid Rock have been boycotting Bud Light after the beer company teamed up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a new ad campaign. On Monday morning’s episode of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg lost her mind over the boycotts, saying “it’s just beer!”

Goldberg Sounds Off

After claiming that she’s always been a huge fan of Budweiser products, Goldberg questioned why people are so angry.

“The company puts out a statement saying they didn’t mean to address an issue that divided people, but I want to know what are you so angry about?” she asked. “Beer does not have, I mean it’s not Democrat or Republican, it doesn’t have belief system, it’s just beer!”

Goldberg’s co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to accuse America of being “highly transphobic,” adding that those who are boycotting the beer are making it out to be a “transphobic issue.”

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is the token conservative on the panel and previously worked in Donald Trump’s White House, said that doing an ad campaign with Mulvaney was a “smart move” by Bud Light and that the company needed to make “inroads with the LGBTQ community,” who she said “tends to like craft beer and skinny cocktails, not Bud Light.”

“They’re reaching a community that is probably not drinking enough Bud Light,” Griffin continued.

Hostin then joked that Budweiser dialed it back by unleashing the Clydesdale horses, saying that the company’s response to the backlash was “let’s get the horses out” because “horses are so much more American than trans people.”

Goldberg concluded the segment by saying, “Listen, Budweiser, we are all Americans here, we appreciate your beer whether it’s light or regular beer, you have every right and we have every right to buy it if we like it. Don’t let them scare you. Lets us scare you.”

Anheuser-Busch CEO Speaks Out

This came days after Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth responded to the backlash against his brand with a statement released on Friday.

“As the CEO of a company founded in America’s heartland more than 165 years ago, I am responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew,” Whitworth said. “We’re honored to be part of the fabric of this country. Anheuser-Busch employs more than 18,000 people and our independent distributors employ an additional 47,000 valued colleagues.”

“We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere,” he continued. “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

John Rich Weighs In

The country music star John Rich told Fox News that Bud Light sales at Redneck Riviera had plummeted in the wake of the Mulvaney campaign.

“I think the customers decide,” Rich explained. “Customers are king. I own a bar downtown in Nashville called Redneck Riviera and our No. 1 selling beer up until a few days ago was guess what — Bud Light. That was the No. 1 beer.”

“We’ve got cases and cases and cases of it sitting back there but in the past several days, you are hard pressed to find someone ordering one, so as the business-owner, I just go, ‘Hey, if you guys aren’t going to order it, we’ve got to put something else in here,'” he added. “At the end of the day, that’s capitalism.”

Woke liberals like Goldberg can be confused about the backlash against Bud Light all they want to be, but the average American agrees that this woke nonsense has gone too far. In the end, Bud Light is learning the hard way that when you go woke, you go broke, and there’s nothing a liberal elitist like Goldberg can do to save them.
