Undertaker Nearly Boycotted WrestleMania 34 Bout, Saraya Fined

Find out why Undertaker nearly boycotted his WWE WrestleMania 34 match with John Cena earlier that day. Also, Saraya has been fined by AEW.

Undertaker Nearly Boycotted WrestleMania 34 Bout

When it pertains to loyalty in WWE, nobody comes close to the Undertaker. For 30 years, he was at the top of WWE and never left their side.

His run saw a WrestleMania steak that will never be matched. Also, he produced amazing matches with the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels and many more.

At WrestleMania 34, he defeated John Cena in a squash that lasted only minutes.

While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Undertaker noted how he almost walked out when told of the squash.

“Yeah, I didn’t know it was gonna be short until I got there that day,” said Undertaker. “So, I’ve trained for a 45 minute war.”

“I’m going to light this place on fire and I felt good. Vince [McMahon] calls me into his office and he says it’s just gonna be about five minutes.”

“I’m like, what? And I’m like, I’m doing 30 or I’m not going out.”

John Cena Spoke To Undertaker

“So, John goes I talked mad smack about you. You need to beat me quick and get this over with.”

“I’m like are you kidding me? We’ve never worked on pay-per-view, are you [serious]?”

“This is WrestleMania, give me a break here. And they both ganged up on me.”

“Vince just thought that was the funniest thing because I trained like an animal. I mean, as far as my diet and the training and just all my protocols of you know recoup and rehab, it was a nightmare.”

“I get there and yeah, five minutes. And it was like that was it.”

Honestly, at that point, Undertaker’s body could not take long battles. It was probably the right decision by WWE.

Still, WWE had two of the biggest stars ever in the ring on the grandest stage of them all. The match was over quickly, but the fans did not seem to mind.

Undertaker stuck around for a bit longer before retiring at Survivor Series in 2020. His last bout was at WrestleMania 36, defeating AJ Styles in a cinematic Boneyard Match.

Saraya Fined

Saraya’s bank account is a littler lighter after Dynamite this week. She called the Canadian crowd “a bunch of neckbeard stinky tw—s.”

Therefore, she was fined an undisclosed amount of money. Although, she has no problem with the fine and enjoyed the segment.

AEW is known to use profanity, but they have never used that term. Obviously, AEW can let some words fly, but not that one.

Currently, Saraya is part of a stable called The Outcasts. She is partnered with Toni Storm and Ruby Soho.

Together, they are attacking wrestlers who made a name for themselves in AEW, compared to WWE. The angle, and title of the group, is very similar to when the NWO and WCW were at war.

Besides a fine, the short line got people buzzing. Clearly, AEW is okay with an edgier product.
