Things took an odd turn on the ABC talk show “The View” once again on Thursday when Joy Behar revealed what a friend of hers did that made her “ghost” her, which means to cut her out of her life.

Behar ‘Ghosted’ Friend

Decider reported that “The View” moderator Whoopi Goldberg began the segment by asking her co-hosts if they’d ever just let someone fade from their lives.

“If they don’t spark joy, I Marie Kondo them,” Behar said with a laugh, referencing the professional organizing consultant’s Netflix series “Sparking Joy.”

Sara Haines then attempted to speak, but Behar shot her down by saying, “Can I finish?”

“There was more? I thought it was a joke,” Haines replied, with Behar responding, “It was a joke but it had truth to it.”

“Are you talking about the friend that you had to…” Haines began, but Behar interrupted her once again to say that she previously had a friend who “continuously” talked about her behind her back.

“It’s like, I’m a big girl, I’ve had a ton of therapy, talk to the face, OK?” Behar said. “So that person got ghosted.”

Sunny Hostin chimed in to say that we all get “different things from different friends.”

“Some friends you like to hang out with. Some friends you just want to speak with,” she said, at which time Behar crudely interjected to say, “Some friends you want to sleep with!”

“There are all these things,” Hostin concluded. “So I don’t know that you necessarily have to cut people out of your life unless they become toxic to you. Unless they start taking away. And then they go.”

Behar Turns 80

Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she was brought back two years later and has remained on the show ever since. She celebrated her 80th birthday in October of last year, but despite this, she has “no plans” to retire.

“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

Behar Defends Biden

Last month, Behar used her age to defend Joe Biden from accusations that he’s too old to be a competent president.

“Joe Biden and I are the same age. Would you say I could not do my job for the next four years? Of course I can,” Behar said. “And the haters can go stick their heads in something, because I’m not moving out of this seat.”

Behar’s meltdowns on “The View” seem to only be becoming more frequent now that she’s in her 80s. One can’t help but think that in the end, the friend that she “ghosted” is probably better off without her.
