“Yellowstone” is one of the most popular shows on television among the American people, yet it has yet to be embraced by the radically liberal world of Hollywood because it refuses to cave to the woke left with its storylines.

Hollywood’s contempt for “Yellowstone” was shown once again this week, when the A-list star Ben Affleck said he was “disturbed” to find out that his wife Jennifer Lopez is a huge fan of the show.

Affleck ‘Disturbed’ By Lopez’s Love For ‘Yellowstone’

“I’m kind of disturbed that my wife really likes ‘Yellowstone,'” Affleck, 50, said while appearing on “The Bills Simmons Podcast.”

He went on to say that Lopez, 53, is “really drawn to the romance between Cole Hauser and the woman who plays his wife.”

Hauser stars on “Yellowstone” as Rip Wheeler, who is married to Beth Dutton, a character that is portrayed by Kelly Reilly. Beth is the daughter of the show’s starring character of John Dutton, who is played by Kevin Costner.

“Jen showed me a clip of her off of Instagram, the monologue she has in the car about the ways to become rich,” Affleck continued. “And then she was like, ‘I love this story of these two.'”

“I was like, ‘Wait a minute? With Cole? With Hauser? What do you love about it?'” he added.

Matt Damon Chimes In

The Hollywood star Matt Damon, who was on the podcast as well, admitted that he is also a “Yellowstone” fan.

“To tell you the truth, I was always mystified that Cole wasn’t a giant movie star,” Damon said, going on to describe Hauser as having “pure, raw talent” as an actor.

Affleck couldn’t help but agree with Damon about Hauser’s talent, saying, “He is very convincing as that guy. I think America believes he is Rip. He’s perfect.”

Affleck, Damon, and Hauser famously all starred together in the beloved 1997 movie Good Will Hunting, and making it was an experience they’ve never forgotten.

“When we worked with him, he was 16, I’ll never forget,” Damon remembered. “We were driving back into Boston … leaving set for the first week, driving into Cambridge, and we’re like … ‘Leaving me and you out, who’s the f—in’ best actor here?’ And both of us, at the same time, were like, ‘Hauser.'”

“He was raw talent; just astonishing … and just the sweetest soul,” he stated.

‘Yellowstone’s’ Popularity

Despite Hollywood’s contempt for “Yellowstone” and those who love it, the show has become massively popular throughout its five seasons. Penn Live reported that back in November, “Yellowstone” hit 12.1 million viewers for it’s season five premiere, with Nielsen saying at the time that it was the most popular scripted series episode so far during that televisions season.

This feat was made even more impressive by the fact that “Yellowstone” is on the cable television network TNT instead of a major broadcaster like CBS, NBC or ABC.

“We’ve been able to create a show that didn’t start out being popular but did it on its own terms,” Costner said after these numbers came out.

The liberal elites of Hollywood can dismiss “Yellowstone” all they want to, but the show’s popularity with Americans everywhere shows that we’ve had enough of the ridiculously woke content that the entertainment world has been pumping out for years now.

Affleck may not understand why his wife loves “Yellowstone,” but the vast majority of Americans certainly do!
