There has been some retirement news about Becky Lynch, who did not deny the rumor. Also, would Kairi Sane be open to a WWE return?

Becky Lynch – Retirement News

WWE changed course of how they present women years ago. In one segment, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks made their official main roster debuts.

No longer would the women be put into Bra and Panties Match. Also, those three minute pay per view contests were gone.

Instead, women were finally treated as equals to their male counterparts on WWE TV. Since then, the female WWE superstars have changed the landscape of pro wrestling.

Many big names have been featured on TV and the first might be Lynch. Once she took on the nickname, “The Man,” the fans latched on and she became a mega star.

Lynch would be part of the first women’s match to headline WrestleMania. On that night, she walked away with gold from RAW and SmackDown.

As for the future, the 36 year old does not plan to hang-around WWE past her prime. In fact, on Tommy Tiernan Show, she hinted how retirement is only a few years away.

“Well I started [wrestling] 21 years ago,” said Lynch. “So, I still have a few more years left in me.”

“[Then, there will come a time] to hang up the boots.”

Besides being a huge star for WWE, Lynch is also married to Seth Rollins. Together, they have a child.

Lynch recently won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Lita. At WrestleMania 39, they team with Trish Stratus opposite Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO Sky).

There has been suggestions made that Status will turn heel. If the rumor is true, no word on who she would wrestle down the line and when.

Two honor the late Mae Young, WWE held two tournaments in her honor. They were won by Kairi Sane and Toni Storm in 2017 and 2018.

Kairi would use that momentum and join the NXT roster. There, she briefly held the NXT Women’s Championship.

Later she would join the main roster and find her most success alongside Asuka.

Together, known as The Kabuki Warriors, they won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. After a few years with WWE, Sane departed and headed back to Japan.

She was written off TV following a backstage beating from Bayley. Despite being away, she did cover a WWE pay per view and worked as an ambassador for the company.

The past year saw her work for World Wonder Ring Stardom and New Japan Pro Wrestling. She recently became a free agent after losing to Mercedes Moné (formerly Sasha Banks) at Battle in the Valley.

After appearing on Steve Fall of Ten Count, Kairi, through a translator, was open to the idea of returning WWE.

“She’s a free agent,” the translator stated. “She would like to go anywhere possible.”

“She would like to go to the U.S. if there’s a chance to go back again. So yeah, she’s a free agent.”

Some thought Sane would worked the Royal Rumble this past January as a surprise entrant. It did not happen, but that does not mean WWE fans have seen the last of her.
