Chris Cuomo has disturbingly revealed that he “was going to kill everybody, including” himself after being fired by CNN at the end of 2021.

‘I Was Going To Kill Everybody’

Page Six reported that Cuomo was fired after it was revealed that he was advising his older brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, through a sexual misconduct scandal. While appearing on the former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci’s podcast, “Open Book with Anthony Scaramucci,” the 52 year-old Cuomo made it clear that he did not take this firing well.

“I had to accept [my firing] because I was going to kill everybody, including myself. Things can consume you,” he said before admitting that he “makes a lot of mistakes” and started therapy after being “s–t-canned” by CNN.

“There is damage that is relatable, there is damage that is unrelatable to people that I have to deal with, that I am working on,” he explained.

Cuomo’s Comeback Doesn’t Go Well

While Cuomo has since made a television comeback with a show on NewsNation, he admitted that he finds the abysmal viewership numbers of his program are embarrassing. This comes after The New York Post reported that 147,000 viewers tuned in to the premiere of his show last October. The show averages 63,000 viewers per night, which is nothing compared to the average of over one million people who watched his CNN show nightly.

“At CNN and I wasn’t set up to be [No. 1]. I wasn’t the big name there, I didn’t have the big team, they didn’t do the advertising about me,” Cuomo claimed. “But I was still No. 1. Why? Because it was the best show. Because I was giving people what they needed in that moment.”

Cuomo has found that his new home of NewsNation is “small” and “people don’t want to watch.”

“It’s hard to keep perspective on that because it’s kind of embarrassing,” he confessed.  “I will never be [No. 1] again. I believe that was taken, I believe wrongly. I will litigate that. I am not going to b**** about it in the press.”

Cuomo is currently suing CNN for over $60 million for his firing.

CNN Fires Cuomo – He Fires Back

CNN announced that Cuomo had been fired in December of 2021.

“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense,” the network said at the time. “We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.”

“While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light,” CNN continued. “Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”

Cuomo fired back by saying, “This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother.”

“So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot,” he added. “I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work.”

Cuomo’s latest comments about his CNN firing are deeply disturbing, and they show just how bitter he really is. Perhaps he should consider dealing with what appear to be his anger issues before he comments on this situation publicly again in the future.
