Wardlow Might Have Heat
A major concern for pro wrestling promotions is creating their own stars. In the past, companies have relied on talent from elsewhere to push.
That mindset has caused problems. It was a major factor in the demise of WCW.
In AEW, they have several names that they are building. That includes the likes of Britt Baker, Darby Allin and Jack Perry.
Another name AEW built from the beginning is Wardlow. Although, he is yet to be featured this year on TV.
Hence, rumors are circulating about his status. On Keepin’ it 100, Konnan believes Wardlow has heat.
“I’ve met him a myriad of times and he’s always very respectful, very professional, always dresses nice, looks good,” said Konnan. “He’s a star and you’ve made a star which is not easy, and then you let it flame out.”

“That’s your fault, unless he has heat. And the stupidest things can get you heat nowadays.”
“So, people are like walking on eggshells. But, bro, heat or no heat, you should have pushed that guy.”
“He should not have lost to Joe clean like he did. And, then afterwards he got bum-rushed again.”
For the first few years of AEW, Wardlow was paired with MJF. So, he helped the top heel secure a bunch of wins.
Like any pairing, they had to go their separate ways. Therefore, Wardlow squashed MJF who was having a contract dispute with AEW.
Then, he focused on his singles carer. So, he won the TNT Championship and held the title for 136 days.
His reign was the third longest in the history of the title. Then, Wardlow dropped the gold to Samoa Joe at Full Gear in a three way match.
Joe and Wardlow continued their feud, with neither really getting the advantage.
“Superstar” Billy Graham Hospitalized
WWE Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham is in the ICU unit at the hospital. He has been there for about a week.
Graham had a bad ear infection, that spread to his bones.
His wife, Valerie, discussed the turbulent time in a Facebook post.
During his time, Graham is considered one of the most known names in the game. He is credited for inspiring the likes of Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.
His size and colorful style is what future wrestlers would try to mimic. So, even today, many years past his prime, Graham continues to influence other pro wrestlers.
Graham ended Bruno Sammartino’s historic second reign as WWWF Champion. He held the title of 296 days before dropping it to Bob Backlund in early 1978.
In 2004, Graham entered the WWE Hall of Fame for his contributions to the business.
Unfortunately, Graham has been dealing with health issues for the past two decades.
He received a new live back in 2002. Issues with the liver continued as Graham was hospitalized several times.
From everyone at Wrestle Newz, we wish Graham a safe and speedy recovery.
