Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late singer Elvis Presley, was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 54.
TMZ reported that EMTs were called to Presley’s home in Calabasas, California on Thursday. There, they performed CPR on her and had to administer epinephrine at the scene to help her regain her pulse before rushing her to the hospital. While Presley was in the ambulance, they had to regain her pulse for a second time.
At the time of this writing, it is unclear what Presley’s condition is, but it’s known that she remains hospitalized at this time.
This comes two days after Presley attended the Golden Globe Awards, where she and her mother Priscilla supported Austin Butler as he won best actor in a motion picture drama for portraying Elvis in his eponymous biopic. Presley could be seen becoming emotional as Butler used Elvis’ signature drawl to pay tribute to her and her mother in his acceptance speech.
“The Presley family, thank you guys for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he said onstage. “Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever.”

While walking the red carpet of the awards show, Presley described the Baz Luhrmann-directed movie Elvis as being “truly mind-blowing.”
“I really didn’t know what to do with myself after I saw it,” she recalled. “I had to take, like, five days to process it because it was so incredible and so spot on and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”
Presley went on to say that she was there “to support Austin and Baz and the film.”
“I’m so excited, and I hope he wins,” she added.

Luhrmann told The New York Daily News last year that Presley spoke with him to give him insight into the man her father was, adding that he would “cherish” her reaction to his movie.
“She knew her father’s vibe, but it’s one thing to grow up not knowing your father and having lost him,” he said back in June.
“It’s another thing that one half of the world thinks he’s a god, and the other half thinks he’s a Halloween costume and a joke,” Luhrmann continued. “It came home to me how difficult that’s been for her, and then somewhat the lifting of that burden has really come home for me, too.”

Presley is the only child of Elvis, who died of a heart attack back in 1977 at the age of 42. She is a singer and songwriter in her own right who released three albums between 2003 and 2012.
Presley is the mother of three daughters, including the Hollywood star Riley Keough. She was also the mother to a son named Benjamin, who tragically died by suicide back in 2020 at the age of 27.
At 54 years of age, Presley has so much life left to live. We can only hope and pray that she is alright and is able to bounce back from this.
