You’ll Love Blake Shelton’s Heavenly Christmas Tradition With Wife Gwen Stefani

The country music star Blake Shelton recently spoke out to reveal a Christmas tradition that he has with his wife Gwen Stefani that is nothing short of delicious!

Shelton And Stefani’s Christmas Tradition

Fox News reported that while appearing on “Jennifer Hudson Show,” Shelton explained that most of the Christmas traditions that he and his wife partake in involve food. He joked that when the two of them cook together, his neck looks “like a pelican now, because (he is) married to a Stefani who literally cooks everything all the time.”

“Our Christmas tradition has become, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this, because I had never heard of one of these, but it’s called a timpano pasta dome,” Shelton explained. “It’s like this thing that you put all these different layers of different pastas. So, there would be like a red sauce and then an Alfredo and then some other bull crap and then some cheese, and it’s all in this dome.”

Once in the oven, Shelton said that it “looks like this big round crust,” and after the dome is cut into,  “there’s heaven inside of there … it’s so good.”

Shelton Doesn’t Want To Be A Pop Star

Though host Jennifer Hudson suggested that Shelton make a pop album with Stefani, he wasn’t having any of it. While he and Stefani “did do a Christmas song together that’s on her Christmas album” called “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” Shelton does not see himself being able to cut it as a pop star.

“I’ll do whatever she asks me to do, but I don’t want to see her fail, and I don’t see me being able to really compete in the pop ska reggae world or whatever that is, you know what I mean?” he said. “I can drink the rum, but I can only listen to the music.”

Stefani Weighs In On Christmas Tradition

Shelton and Stefani got married in July of last year, and they had been dating prior to that since 2015. Earlier this week, Stefani gave her thoughts on their tasty Christmas tradition. 

“Blake likes to make new traditions every year. We do this thing called a timpano dome, which is an Italian dome, it’s kind of like a lasagna within a pizza,” she told OK! Magazine.

“We’ve been doing that ever since I met him,” she added.

Stefani And Shelton’s Christmas Plans

While Stefani and Shelton have yet to confirm their specific Christmas plans, we wouldn’t be surprised if they’re set to spend the holiday at their ranch in Oklahoma. 

“We get away from everything and we’re just us back there,” Shelton recently told People Magazine of what life on the ranch is like. “You don’t have to be anybody when we get to go back to Oklahoma. You just be a family when you go there…And that’s where I feel the most comfortable, happy, and safe.”
