With his career in doubt, finally there is a positive Adam Cole update. Also, a WWE official told Athena (AKA Ember Moon) to lose weight.

Positive Adam Cole Update

Fans have not seen much of Adam Cole since Forbidden Door, when he suffered a major concussion. At one point, some thought he would never be cleared to return.

Finally, we are hearing some positive news. Dave Meltzer took questions on Twitter and of course people wanted to know about Cole.

“He’s doing much better,” tweeted Meltzer. “The last I heard is they were being cautious.”

“Don’t have any time frame for a return. With concussions, you can’t predict time frame.”

He suffered the concussion in a fatal-four-way with “Hangman” Adam Page, Kazuchika Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White.

Of all the injures out there, a concussion is considered the most serious because there is no timeframe for a return. It just takes time and some never fully recover.

Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly seemed set to work against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in AEW. Lots has happened since then, and that match is not even possible anymore.

WWE Told Athena To Lose Weight

Athena (Ember Moon in WWE) held the NXT Women’s and NXT Tag Team Championship. Like many, she saw success in NXT, but the main roster was different.

After less than two years, she was sent back to NXT. It was for the best as she was doing nothing on RAW or SmackDown.

A year later and she was released from WWE. Unlike her first stint in NXT, this one was not as special.

Before even signing with WWE, Athena noted on the Talk is Jericho podcast how she ran into an issue. She would not say whom in WWE requested she lose weight to get that ‘diva’ look.

“I remember getting this form that said ‘doesn’t have the Diva look, work on that,’” said Athena. “They had this whole pamphlet on what you did well, what you didn’t do well, what you need to work on.”

“Main critique was ‘doesn’t have Diva look. I remember just being told ‘I just don’t know if we should sign you or tell you to lose some more weight.’”

Right there, that is what is wrong with pro wrestling and the world. Nobody, should be body shamed,

Back in May of this year, Athena signed with AEW. She challenged for the AEW Women’s and TNT Championships, but came up short.

She did make headlines for seemingly roughing-up her opponent during a Dark taping. The former WWE superstar chalked it up to switching from face to heel mid-match because of the crowd’s reaction.

Recently, Athena won the Ring Of Honor’s Women’s Championship at Final Battle.
