Tish Cyrus Reveals New TV Star Boyfriend After Ex Billy Ray Gets Engaged To Much Younger Woman

Last month month, the country music star Billy Ray Cyrus announced that he is engaged to the singer Firerose, who is 27 years his junior. This came just one year after he divorced his ex-wife Tish Cyrus, who he was married to for 28 years.

Now, Tish has revealed that she’s moved as well, as she has a new famous boyfriend of her own.

Tish Reveals Her New Boyfriend

Page Six has confirmed that Tish, 55, is dating the 52 year-old former “Prison Break” star Dominic Purcell, and she revealed this to the world on her Instagram Story on Sunday. 

Purcell was previously married to Rebecca Williamson from 1998 until 2008, and they share three adult children. He most recently dated the actress AnnaLyne McCord on and off from 2011 until 2020. 

Meanwhile, Tish had three children with Billy Ray before she filed for divorce from him in April of last year.

Billy Ray Announces He’s Engaged

This comes weeks after Billy Ray, 61, announced that he is engaged to Firerose, a 34 year-old singer from Australia who has said she was a big fan of his growing up.

“Growing up in Australia, my love of music was predominant over everything,” she told People Magazine after their engagement was announced. “I’ve known his music since forever.”

“‘Since forever,'” Billy Ray responded playfully. “That’s how long I’ve been around.”

Billy Ray also addressed how difficult his divorce from Tish was, saying that moving on “took a lot of prayer. A lot.”

“There was sickness and death, and hard times,” Billy Ray said of what life was like for him during the pandemic. “All of the sudden, the life that I’ve always known as a touring artist didn’t exist anymore. A moment of so much change.”

“And at the same time, Firerose, who had been such a light of positivity, such a best friend,” he added. “And then when we began sharing the music, it just evolved more into, as musical soulmates, to soulmates, happy, pure love that to me, I didn’t know could exist. Again, we’re musicians, first and foremost, both of us. And we found this harmony, and this rhythm, this melody to life.”

Billy Ray’s Proposal

Though they only announced their engagement a few weeks ago, Billy Ray actually proposed in August.

“Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you,'” Firerose recalled. “He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.'”

Though there were rumors that the children of Billy Ray and Tish, including their famous daughter Miley, were not happy about his engagement, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer said that this is false.

“Everyone knew that that relationship was over a long time ago,” he claimed. “Everybody’s turning the page. It’s been a lot, but everyone knew that it was time for a change.”

While it’s sad to see any marriage come to an end, particularly one that lasted for thirty years, it seems that both Tish and Billy Ray have moved on with their lives. We wish them both the best of luck with their respective new partners in the years to come!
