Kid Rock served as the DJ at a Christmas party that was thrown by Donald Trump Jr. over the weekend. Video has since gone viral after a Twitter user claimed that Kid Rock “struggled to figure out the DJ equipment” at this event.

Check out the video for yourself below.

‘Kid Rock’s Taken Over The DJ Booth’

The video shows Kid Rock eventually figure out the DJ equipment, and he proceeds to play the classic 1970s Al Green song “Let’s Stay Together.”

“Kid Rock’s taken over the DJ booth, folks!” Trump Jr. exclaims.

Kid Rock is a close friend of the Trump family, and he’s performed at Trump rallies in the past. He’s also golfed with the former President Donald Trump, who is a big fan of his. Earlier this year, Trump even filmed a video to kick off Kid Rock’s Bad Reputation tour.

“Hello, everyone, I love you all,” Trump said in the video, according to USA Today. “You’re going to have a great time at the Kid Rock concert tonight. Quite frankly, he’s amazing. All of you in attendance are the true backbone of our great country: hard working, God-fearing, rock ‘n’ roll patriots.”

Trump then described Kid Rock as “one of the greatest entertainers of our time. Not the best golfer, by any means. His golf game could use a little work. But a great, great entertainer, and that’s why you’re there.”

“Let’s all continue to love one another, fight for our God-given freedoms, and most of all, let’s make America rock again!” he concluded.

In an interview earlier this year, Kid Rock said that he likes Trump because he is not “contrived” or “scripted” like other politicians.

“Trump speaks off the cuff, I understand what that’s like, sometimes you get it wrong,” Kid Rock said. “I’ve stood next to him in the White House with the prepared notes and watched him read like one sentence and then it’s like, ‘Let’s go.’ You’re like, this is awesome.”

Trump Allegedly Asked Kid Rock For Advice

Kid Rock has claimed that Trump asked him for advice during his presidency.

“I was there with [Trump] one day when he ended the caliphate,” Kid Rock said. “He wanted to put out a tweet … I don’t like to speak out of school. I hope I’m not. But … the tweet was, and I’m paraphrasing, but it’s like, you know, ‘If you ever joined the caliphate, you know, trying to do this, you’re going to be dead.’”

“He goes, ‘What do you think?’ [I said] ‘Awesome. I can’t add any better.’ But then it comes out and it’s … reworded and more political, to look politically correct. And just, ‘be afraid,'” he continued, going on to say that he and Trump were once “looking at maps. I’m like, you know, like, ‘Am I supposed to be in on this s***?’ Like I make dirty records sometimes. I do.”

“‘What do you think we should do about North Korea?’” he recalled. “I’m like, ‘What? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this.’”

Kid Rock’s Political Views

The Guardian reported that Kid Rock has also talked about his political views in general, saying that he “played Barack Obama’s inauguration [in 2009] even though I didn’t vote for him. I didn’t agree with his policies, but there was an exciting sense of change in the air. That promise hasn’t been fulfilled – the country is more divided than ever.”

Kid Rock is one of the few openly conservative entertainers out there, and we applaud him for continuing to stand by Trump and his family. We hope that he and Trump Jr. had a great time at their Christmas party!
