The world is still reeling from the recent divorce of the NFL star Tom Brady and the supermodel Gisele Bündchen, as they did not reveal it to the world until it was already finalized last month.

During Monday’s episode of his “Let’s Go!” podcast, Brady gave an update on his mental state in the wake of his divorce, saying that his 9 year-old daughter Vivian has inspired him to try and find a “better peace of mind.”

‘I’m Doing My Best’

Daily Mail reported that Brady said that his daughter has noticed that he looks unhappy on the football field in recent weeks as he plays as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“My daughter always says, ‘Daddy, you did not have a happy face out there,'” admitted Brady, 45. “And I’m trying! I wish I would have more awareness of what the scowl looks like, but I’m doing my best to try to get to a better place and better peace of mind.”

Brady described Vivian as his “No. 1 cheerleader,” adding, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Vivian is one of two children that Brady shares with Bündchen, 42, with their older child being a 12 year-old son named Benjamin. Brady is also father to a 15 year-old son named Jack with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, who stars with Tom Selleck on the CBS television show “Blue Bloods.”

As for Bündchen, she seems to be enjoying life after her divorce, as she was recently spotted looking relaxed while vacationing in Costa Rica with her children, according to Page Six. In announcing her divorce from Brady last month, she said that while she “wishes the best” for him, the two of them have “grown apart.”

Brady Wants To Host ‘SNL’ Again

During this same episode of his podcast, Brady showed off his fun side by saying that he would like to host “Saturday Night Live!” again. He previously hosted the NBC sketch comedy show back in 2005, according to Fox News, but he would like to do so again after seeing the retired Hall of Famer Peyton Manning be on the show.

“Peyton, I think went on after me,” Brady said. “And he actually did better than me, so at some point I have to go in and try to redeem myself, you know, I got to get my last licks! Cuz Peyton was great.”

While Manning hosted “SNL” back in 2007, he made a hilarious cameo on the show earlier this year. Check that out for yourself below.

Brady Compares Lorne Michaels To Bill Belichick

Brady went on to compare “SNL” creator and producer Lorne Michaels to the longtime New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

“I remember when we did ‘Saturday Night Live’ together, and we did all the skits on that pre-show… And then afterwards we went up to Lorne’s office and everyone was just on the floor, and he’s a lot like Belichick,” Brady said.

“You know, he was eating his popcorn or whatever the hell he was eating, and he was like, ‘No, scratch that,’ and ‘Not that, and not that.’ And I’m sitting there like, ‘Man, we go on in 10 minutes!’” he continued.

It’s always sad to see any couple split up, particularly when children are involved, but at this point we can only hope that Brady and Bündchen have made the best decision they could for themselves and their family. We wish them both the best of luck in finding love again in the years to come!
