In the six days that it’s been since the billionaire Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter became official, liberals have been losing their minds and threatening to quit the social media platform in protest. The British media personality Piers Morgan is now firing back at them by defending Musk and slamming the left’s “miserably predictable” meltdown over his Twitter takeover.

Morgan Defends Musk

Unlike most celebrities, Morgan was happy to see that Musk is the new owner of Twitter.

“What you’ve seen with Twitter is a very woke workforce who had basically been shadow-banning conservative commentators from Twitter for a long time,” Morgan told Fox News. “We’ve all known this. They’ve also been almost exclusively banning people on the right without banning people on the left for similar offenses.”

“But there again, [Elon Musk] is going to bring back comedy, the ability to have a laugh, to banter with people without fearing that you’re going to get canceled,” he added. “And I really think this is long overdue. And the reaction from the left, I have to say, has been miserably predictable. It reminds me of when Donald Trump was named president. They all said, ‘we’re all leaving the country.’ None of them left the country.”

Morgan proceeded to call out the many liberals, one of whom is the former “All In The Family” star Rob Reiner, who have been claiming that they would leave Twitter in protest of Musk, only to then continue tweeting anyway.

“And the same rule now saying, chucking their rattles out of their stroller and saying, ‘we’re all going to leave Twitter.’ They’re not going to leave Twitter because they love Twitter as much as I do,” Morgan continued. “They’re addicted to the damn thing.”

“So I think what you’re going to see is a lot of whining, a lot of throwing rattles around, and then it will calm down, and we’ll actually probably find that Elon Musk restores Twitter to what it should have been, which is a fair, open platform for people of all persuasions and all views,” he concluded.

Celebrity Meltdowns Over Musk Buying Twitter

Here are some of the biggest celebrity meltdowns over Musk buying Twitter:

Morgan Agrees With Joe Rogan

Morgan previously said that he agrees with the popular podcast host Joe Rogan, who said hours after Musk took over Twitter that the billionaire wants to bring a “reasonable exchange of ideas” back to the social media platform.

“I think we have a real problem with discourse on Twitter,” Rogan said, according to Insider. “What some would like to do is silence those that have opposing viewpoints, and then you get all this positive feedback from all the people that agree with you.”

Rogan went on to say that there are “so many people” who should be allowed back on Twitter. One of these people could potentially be Donald Trump, who was banned from Twitter after the Capitol riot in January of 2021.

Trump ‘Very Happy’ Musk Owns Twitter

After news of Musk buying Twitter broke, Trump was quick to celebrate.

“I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country,” Trump said in a statement.

“Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly,” the former president continued. “It will be much smaller, but better.”

Musk, however, has yet to reveal whether or not Trump will be allowed back on Twitter.

“If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money!” Musk tweeted earlier this week.

The liberal meltdown over Musk taking over Twitter won’t be ending anytime soon, and we applaud Morgan for having the courage to call out liberals for having such a big problem with it. If Musk is angering liberals to this extent, he’s clearly doing something right, so we hope he keeps up the good work!
