Judge Judy Sheindlin has just revealed the Hollywood star who she’d like to see play her in a biopic, and the Oscar-winner that she’s chosen may surprise you!

Sheindlin Reveals Who She Wants To Play Her In A Movie

While appearing on E! News earlier this month, Sheindlin was asked who she’d want to portray her on the big screen if a biopic was ever made about her life, and she didn’t hesitate with her response.

“Reese Witherspoon,” Sheindlin said, going on to describe the former Walk The Line star as being “a fabulous lady.”

“We’re friends, and she gets me, and I know she does,” Sheindlin explained. “And I think she’s a great actress, and I think she could—if they did, which I would not like—I think that she could carry that off.”

If Witherspoon ever got the chance to play Sheindlin, it wouldn’t be the first time she portrayed a lawyer in a movie, as she’s well known for playing Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde film series.

Sheindlin is still as busy as ever, as season two of her show “Judy Justice” premiered on IMDb TV earlier in November. She launched this series in 2021, one year after “Judge Judy” ended its run on television after 25 seasons. Sheindlin told The Hollywood Reporter last year that she is “not tired” and has no plans to retire.

“I don’t play golf or tennis. I have no desire to learn how to play mahjong, chess or checkers. I know what I like to do,” Sheindlin said. “Why, at my stage in life, would I try to find something else when I already know what I like?”

‘Judy Justice’ A Huge Success

Sheindlin won’t be forced to retire anytime soon either, as her show “Judy Justice” has garnered record viewership for IMDb TV.

“I am over the moon and couldn’t be happier with the ‘Judy Justice’ reception in streaming,” Sheindlin told Deadline earlier this year. “Amazon has been a terrific partner and I look forward to our continued collaboration.”

IMDb TV executives have not hid their excitement over the show.

“With ‘Judy Justice,’ we saw a bold opportunity to reinforce our vision of a modern television network, by embracing daytime television programming and uniquely offering IMDb TV customers new episodes every weekday,” said Lauren Anderson and Ryan Pirozzi, co-heads of content and programming at IMDb TV. “For more than 25 years, Judge Sheindlin has been a staple of daytime TV.”

“Through her no-nonsense approach to adjudicating real cases, Judge Sheindlin has educated millions about the legal process and real-life decision-making,” they added. “We look forward to delivering another season of binge-worthy justice as Judge Judy Sheindlin continues her unprecedented reign as one of the most iconic and esteemed personalities in entertainment.”

Sheindlin Celebrates 80th Birthday

Sheindlin celebrated her 80th birthday last month with a trip to the Bahamas. She was joined on this trip by her husband Judge Jerry, who she’s been married to for 31 years, and by 23 other guests.

“One could not have a better birthday than surrounded by the people you love who love you in an idyllic and unspoiled place,” Sheindlin told Fox News of her vacation.

While there does not appear to be a biopic of Sheindlin in the works, we would be very excited to learn that her incredible life story is being brought to the big screen. Here’s hoping that happens in the future!
