The Hollywood star Dean Cain of “Superman” fame attended the Hollywood Christmas Parade over the weekend with his good friend Montel Williams, who some fans may be surprised to learn is a veteran of the U.S. Marines.

Hollywood Christmas Parade

Cain took to Twitter to post a video of himself and Williams at the parade, and you can check that out below.

Fox LA reported that this was the 90th anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which supports Marine Toys for Tots. The Hollywood star Danny Trejo served as the Grand Marshall for this parade.

“Wow! I’m honored to represent Los Angeles,” Trejo said after he was named as the Grand Marshall. “As a kid growing up in the San Fernando Valley, I never would’ve imagined I’d be the Grand Marshal of the Hollywood Christmas Parade. Then and now I still love cruising the streets of Hollywood. What an unbelievable honor!”

Marine Toys For Tots is currently celebrating its 75th anniversary.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Hollywood Christmas Parade for our 75th Anniversary, as it is right here in Los Angeles, where we began our operation years ago,” said Lieutenant General James B. Laster, President and CEO of Marine Toys for Tots.

“And today we are proud to continue our mission of bringing much needed holidays gifts and cheer to those less fortunate,” he added.

Cain and Williams served as parade hosts along with Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, and Elizabeth Stanton.

Cain made it clear on social media that he had a blast at this parade.

Cain’s Christian Faith

Cain has long been known as one of the few openly conservative actors in Hollywood. Earlier this year, he credited his strong Christian faith with getting him through the challenging moments in his life.

“There are so many conversations I’ve had with God at the toughest points and times of my life, and there’s nowhere else to turn if you don’t have that faith,” he told Christian Post. “I feel bad for someone who doesn’t. And maybe it takes those moments to find Him.”

Cain also said that though he believes in angels, he’s unsure if he’s ever met one in real life.

“I don’t know that I’ve encountered an angel, but you never know,” he said. “I just don’t know where in my life they’ve been. But I live a very blessed life. And so I imagine it’s happened a number of times along the way.”

Cain’s Advice For Others

Cain went on to give advice to people who have a calling but are also feeling discouraged.

“It’s the same advice I give anybody about filmmaking or about life, it’s to never give up,” Cain said. “If you’re doing the right thing and you believe in what you’re doing, never give up! You’re going to hit those hurdles, nothing wonderful ever comes easily.”

“So for anybody out there who is wondering if they’re doing the right thing, if it’s right in your heart, and you know you’re helping other people, carry on, because eventually, it will happen,” he continued.

We’re so glad to see that Hollywood has a Christmas parade, and we’re happy that Cain and Williams seem to have had such a good time at it!
