Last week, we reported that the Hollywood star Candace Cameron Bure was in hot water for saying that her network Great American Family will be making content that solely depicts “traditional marriage.”
Now, Cameron Bure has unfollowed her former “Full House” and “Fuller House” co-star Jodie Sweetin on social media after she appeared to go against her in this scandal.

Sweetin Goes Against Cameron Bure
Daily Mail reported that Cameron Bure, 46, and Sweetin, 40, have known each other since they were cast to play sisters on “Full House” back in 1986. They then recently reprised their roles for the Netflix series “Fuller House” from 2016 until 2020.
In the wake of Cameron Bure’s “traditional marriage” comments, however, Sweetin showed her support for JoJo Siwa after the 19 year-old shared an article with the headline “Candace Cameron Bure’s Plan For New Cable Channel: No Gays.”
“You know I love you,” Sweetin commented to Siwa, adding two red heart emojis.

Sweetin’s comment immediately went viral, garnering over 10,000 responses.
“At least she has the support from one of the ‘Tanner sisters’ … you should really talk to your girl @candacecbure. Seems like she needs a refresher in Christianity, God loves ALL his children!” one user commented.
“I love you, Jodie,” another added. “I’m sure these situations put you in a hard place but I thank you for always standing up for our community. You’re awesome.”
When she left the comment, Sweetin was undoubtedly aware of Cameron Bure’s history with Siwa, who accused her of being the “rudest celebrity” she’s ever met earlier this year. That’s why it’s not surprising that Cameron Bure responded to this by unfollowing Sweetin.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Cameron Bure and Sweetin are now in a “pretty serious” fight. The insider explained that Sweetin “is progressive in her beliefs” while Cameron Bure “is very religious in hers.”
“They have different views and opinions on various important topics,” the source continued.

Siwa Slams Cameron Bure For ‘Traditional Marriage’ Comments
This comes after Cameron Bure found herself being attacked by the left after she said, “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
Siwa, who identifies as a lesbian, was quick to fire back by branding these comments “rude and hurtful.”
“Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press,” she wrote on Instagram. “This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
Siwa has since said that she probably won’t be speaking to Cameron Bure again over this.
“We have not [talked], and I don’t think we ever will again,” she told People Magazine . “That’s what’s f—ed up. You not liking gay marriage, do your thing girl. You being religious, do your thing girl. Of course, I would want everybody to do what they want to do. But to purposely exclude someone because of who they love, that’s sh—y.”

Cameron Bure Stays Strong
Despite all of the backlash that she has received, Cameron Bure has refused to back down.
“All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people,” Cameron Bure said in a statement. “It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”
“It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies,” she continued. “But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn’t be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever.”

Cameron Bure has long been known as one of the few openly Christian conservative actresses in Hollywood, so dealing with hate from the left is nothing new to her. It’s sad that Sweetin has decided to throw away decades of friendship, just to cater to the “woke” crowd that is trying to cancel Cameron Bure.
