One of the most exciting boxers in the world today, Sebastian Fundora, is set for action Saturday night.

Fundora defends his interim WBC super welterweight title against Carlos Ocampo live on Showtime. The bout headlines the card from Carson, California and Dignity Health Sports Park.

Fundora, unbeaten, has made it his mission to not only defend his belt, but provide a memorable experience for all in attendance and watching.

“I feel like I proved to the people that I’m an elite fighter. I can hang with anyone and I can stop them as well. I showed that I have what it takes to become a world champion,” he said. “I’m just going to put on a great performance for the fans. We trained really hard in camp. I’m only worried about what I do in the ring.

“I’m going to keep sending the same message as always, and that’s saying clearly that I’m going to become a world champion at 154 pounds.

“I can guarantee the fans get their money’s worth. We put on a great show every single time, but now that I’m headlining my own show, I’m really going to make sure I put it all on the line. Plus, with my sister on the card, it’s just more motivation to perform.”

Ocampo, meanwhile, will look to put an end to his run and cement his standing in the division.

“I’m feeling better than ever right now. I’m ready for what’s going to be a great challenge. This is going to be a war on Saturday night,” Ocampo said. “You have to take the opportunities that you’re given. I know that Fundora is a strong fighter, but I’m going to be ready for him.

“I’m going to lean on my preparation and training. I’m strong just like Sebastian is. I’m going to have to stick to my training and the results will come with that.”
