Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the marriage of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen is on the rocks. Now, sources are saying that each of them have hired divorce lawyers.

‘They Both Have Lawyers’

It was previously reported that Tom and Gisele have been living separately for months after they had an “epic fight” amidst his decision to un-retire and return to professional football for another season.

“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is,” one source told Page Six

“I don’t think there will be any coming back now,” the insider added. “They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”

Another source said that Gisele has been living in the Miami home that she rented with Tom back in 2020. It is unknown exactly where Tom is living at this time.

Gisele and Tom have been married since 2009, and they are parents to son Benjamin, 12, and 9-year-old daughter Vivian, along with Tom’s son John, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan. A different insider told People Magazine that the couple has been dealing with “a lot of tension” in the marriage in the wake of Tom returning to football.

“She was so happy when he announced his retirement,” this source said of Gisele.

Gisele Admits She Has ‘Concerns’

Gisele admitted to Elle over the summer that she has some “concerns” about Tom continuing to play.

“Obviously, I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Another source defended Tom, however, saying that he is “totally devoted” to his children during the offseason and that he spends a lot of time with them between games.

“No other husband gets six months off a year to be totally devoted to just their family,” said this source. “And during the season, yes he travels for games and trains, but he’s with his family a lot too.”

Divorce Attorney Weighs In

Should Gisele and Tom move forward with divorcing, they will have a multi-million dollar fortune to divide. New York City divorce attorney Jacqueline Newman of Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP, who isn’t directly involved with Gisele and Tom, said that they likely already have a prenuptial agreement in place, however.

“People of this magnitude of wealth don’t generally get married without a document that’s going to dictate what’s going to happen if it doesn’t run its course,” the divorc said. “There probably were assets that were acquired during the marriage, so there may be squabbles about that to say the least. That said, I think they are going to settle this, assuming they go forward with it — outside of the press.”

The divorce attorney went on to say that she hopes Tom and Gisele can come to a custody agreement quickly “because the worst thing they could do is pull their kids through a custody battle.”

Given how long that Tom and Gisele have been married, we can only hope that they can work things out and don’t end up going through with this divorce. Perhaps once the dust settles a little more from their “epic fight,” they’ll decide divorcing may not be worth it after all.

Only time will tell.
