Welterweights Kevin Holland and Stephen Thompson have a date for UFC Orlando.

And it will be as the main event.

The promotion announced that they have booked the contenders for the December 3 event from the Amway Center in Orlando.

Holland, a 29-year-old, is coming off a submission loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 last month. The defeat snapped a two-fight win streak for him, and he had mentioned plans to retire.

However, Holland will instead remain active and step into the Octagon to challenge Thompson. A former UFC title challenger, “Wonderboy” met Tyron Woodley for the welterweight title back in 2016 and ’17, fighting to a draw before dropping a majority decision.

Since that time, he has gone 3-4, including back-to-back decision defeats at the hands of Gilbert Burnsa nd Belal Muhammad.

It has been four years since the UFC last held an event in Orlando, as Josh Emmett met Jeremy Stephens in the main event of a card that aired live on FOX.

Along with the announced bout between Holland and Thompson, Clay Guida vs. Scott Holtzman, Eryk Anders vs. Kyle Daukaus and Angela Hill vs. Emily Ducote are set.
