Rapper and fashion designer Kanye West has doubled down on his decision to wear what some deemed a controversial piece of clothing during a recent Yeezy fashion show in Paris, declaring that he decided to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt because it was “funny.”

“I do certain things from a feeling, I just channel the energy. It just feels right,” West told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday, as reported by People Magazine. “It’s using a gut instinct, a connection with God, and just brilliance,” West explained of the creative choice.”

The rapper further elaborated, “You know, my dad is an educated ex-Black Panther, and he put in a text to me today, he said, ‘White Lives Matter. Ha ha ha ha ha.’ And I said, ‘I thought the shirt was a funny shirt. I thought the idea of me wearing it was funny.'”

“And I said, ‘Dad, why do you think it was funny?’ He said, ‘Just a Black man stating the obvious,'” he recounted of this particular talk with his father.

As soon as the picture of West and right-wing commentator Candace Owen wearing White Lives Matter shirts managed to squeeze their way online, the woke social media mob  wasted no time condemning the rapper’s actions.

West, however, is comfortable knowing that his fashion statement gave people something to talk about, asserting, “That [was] my favorite response. Cause … people, they’re looking for an explanation, and people say, ‘Well, as an artist you don’t have to give an explanation,’ but as a leader, you do.”

“So the answer to why I wrote White Lives Matter on a shirt is because they do. It’s the obvious thing,” the rapper declared.

Original story follows:

Kanye West shocked the world on Monday, when he wore a “White Lives Matter” sweatshirt to his surprise Yeezy fashion show in Paris; successfully managing to ruffle some liberal feathers in the process.

‘White Lives Matter’

Daily Mail reported that the fashion models in West’s show also wore attire with the “White Lives Matter” slogan on it. West, 43, appeared at the event with conservative commentator Candace Owens, who recently referred to the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian as a “prostitute.”

“I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader,” he said at one point during the runway show, referring to his new legal name, according to Page Six. “You can’t manage me.”

Before the show, West had opened up about his vision of how he wanted it to go.

“There’s just people,” he told Vogue. “From the same planet. And sometimes, in high school, it feels like we don’t fit in. And in a situation like this, we have the opportunity to come together to express who we are.”

“It’s leaning into the shape of how I see this future world … this alternate world,” the rapper continued. “But in high school. It’s focused on curriculum because both my parents are educators.”

Liberals Lose Their Minds

The “woke” left immediately erupted in backlash online over West’s outfit choice, as they feel that it is only appropriate to say that “Black Lives Matter.”

“Sending a “WHITE LIVES MATTER” t-shirt down a runway in Paris is literal insanity and no amount of gospel is getting that man through Heaven’s gate, I’m so sorry,” one person tweeted, with another adding, “mind you kanye was just calling kim and kris the kkk 2 weeks ago and now he’s wearing a white lives matter shirt.”

West Doubles Down – ‘Black Lives Matter Was A Scam’

Instead of caving to the backlash, however, West chose to double down on his Instagram Story today with an attack on the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now its[sic] over,” West declared in an Instagram story, as per The New York Post, adding, “You’re welcome.”

The Black Lives Matter organization has indeed been embroiled in multiple scandals as of late. Early in September, BLM leader Shalomyah Bowers was accused of “siphoning” over $10 million that had come in from donors to pay his consulting firm.

BLM Co-Founder’s Scandal

Earlier this year, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors was accused in tax documents filed with the IRS of using donations to pay her brother and child’s father massive sums of money. She later admitted to using funds to throw parties, but denied further wrongdoing.

“The idea that (the foundation) received millions of dollars and then I hid those dollars in my bank account is absolutely false,” she said. “That’s a false narrative. It’s impacted me personally and professionally, that people would accuse me of stealing from Black people.”

West is no stranger to angering the left, as he was an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump during his presidency. He’s shown himself to be a black man who is not afraid to think for himself, and in the end, there’s nothing that the left hates more than that.
