Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence, known for her roles in of Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, has revealed in a new interview that she hasn’t been able to forgive Republican family members of hers, including her own father. The Oscar-winning actress also claimed that she has recurring nightmares about Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Daily Mail reported that Lawrence, who was raised in Kentucky, claimed in a new interview that her father’s support for former President Donald Trump has caused issues in her family.
“I just worked so hard in the last five years to forgive my dad and my family and try to understand: It’s different,” the 32 year-old actress told Vogue. “The information they are getting is different. Their life is different,’ referencing the information conveyed by the top news host to her parents and those like them.”
“I’ve tried to get over it and I really can’t. I can’t,” she admitted.
Lawrence was actually a Republican herself growing up until watching Tina Fey’s character of Liz Lemon utter the line, “Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn’t mean I don’t love America” on NBC’s “30 Rock” show — which also starred outspoken Left-wing actor Alec Baldwin.
Lawrence has disclosed that it isn’t only Republicans she has issues with; apolitical individuals also ruffle her feathers. It seems that, in actuality, the actress has a problem with anyone who doesn’t share her own exact same political views.
“I can’t f—k with people who aren’t political anymore,” she said. “You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too dire. Politics are killing people.”
“I don’t want to disparage my family, but I know that a lot of people are in a similar position with their families,” she added. “How could you raise a daughter from birth and believe that she doesn’t deserve equality? How?”
Not stopping there, Lawrence also touched on the 2016 presidential election that saw Trump defeat Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. “It breaks my heart because America had the choice between a woman and a dangerous, dangerous jar of mayonnaise. And they were like, Well, we can’t have a woman. Let’s go with the jar of mayonnaise,” she whined.

In this same interview, Lawrence admitted that she’s talked to her therapist about a recurring nightmare she’s had about Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who addressed the actress’s remarks on his Tuesday night show saying that her comments “flattered” him.
“When you decide to work in television you lose control of a lot of things, foremost the way other people perceive you,” Carlson said, according to People Magazine. “So can it really be your fault? Are you really responsible if major Hollywood starlets dream about you?”
“Maybe it’s the sexy glasses?” he added as he put on his glasses. “Who knows? We can only speculate.”

In a segment titled “Jennifer’s Nightmare,” Carlson talked to guest Trace Gallagher about what Lawrence had to say.
“It’s important to note that while Jennifer Lawrence sees you in her head at night, you know, the nightmares when she sleeps, she’s likely not watching you now — but her parents are probably watching you because they’re fans,” Gallagher asserted.
“So she says she has ‘nightmares’ about us,” Carlson responded with a laugh. “That’s what they’re calling it now, ‘nightmares.’ Alright. We’re flattered. I think it’s the sexy glasses. … Can’t help it if they dream about you.”
We can’t help but feel sorry for Lawrence’s family, as they’re clearly related to someone who has been brainwashed by the liberal, self-professed tolerant world of Hollywood. For their sake, we hope that Lawrence wakes up someday and comes back to reality!
