Andrea Bocelli, one of the world’s best singers who is considered by many to be the greatest tenor of all time, celebrates his 64th birthday today.

Let’s celebrate one of the world’s most beautiful singers with a look back at his life and music.

From Struggle, Came Beautiful Music

Despite being completely blind since the age of 12, Bocelli never let his disability get in his way or become an excuse.

With little formal training, Bocelli went from singing in bars to becoming one of the most successful recording artists in the world. His albums helped bring classical music back into the mainstream and gave rise to singers like Josh Groban and Charlotte Church.

His Concerts Are Legendary

Bocelli is considered to be one of the best live acts in all of music.

Bocelli even performed for Queen Elizabeth at her Platinum Jubliee back in June, which turned out to be just three months before she would pass away at the age of 96.

Andrea Bocelli’s Legendary Duets

How can you listen to him sing with Celine Dion and not get emotional?

He sang “Silent Night” in a cave, and it was a duet with his echo!

It’s A Family Business!

Bocelli has three children, and two of them are singers.

Son Matteo and daughter Virginia have joined him on various songs and worked with him on his new Christmas album.
