Christian Actress Candace Cameron Bure Speaks Out About The Importance Of Sex Within Marriage – “Sex Is A Gift From God”

Candace Cameron Bure of Full House and Fuller House is speaking out this week to talk about the importance of sex in a good marriage.

Cameron Bure Discusses Marriage And Sex

Cameron Bure is something of a rarity in Hollywood, as she has been married to her husband Valeri Bure, a former professional hockey player, for 26 years. While appearing on Mayim Bialik’s “Breakdown” podcast this week, Cameron Bure credited her long-lasting marriage partly to the fact that she and her husband make time for each other and still “love each other physically, spiritually” and “mentally.” 

Cameron Bure also admitted that laughter is a big turn on for she and Bure, and that they are each happier when they’ve had sex.

“Laughter is one of my love languages,” she said, according to Fox News. “I grew up with comedians on the show [‘Full House’]. I’ve been around laughter my whole life. My dad’s a very funny man. Like, I love it. So, I need to have laughter in my life and that does come with a playfulness with my husband so when he can make me laugh – like, it’s the best.”

“Sex obviously is important,” she continued, adding that she hates how “sex within marriage gets such a bad rap.”

‘Sex Is A Gift From God’

While Cameron Bure knows that sex in a marriage can become stale, she firmly believes that “sex is a gift from God to be within the constraints of marriage and that it is to be celebrated and a huge part of marriage.” The actress asserted sex is a “blessing of being married and committed to someone,” disclosing that jokes about lengthy marriages becoming sexless are not accurate in her case.

“I’m not trying to talk about my sex life, but I do think it is important to share what a healthy sex life within marriage can be just in saying like that that’s important,” she declared. 

“It’s an important part of the relationship that we make time for one another, that we still love each other both physically, you know, spiritually, mentally, all of the things,” Cameron Bure stated. “It all comes hand in hand. I’m a happier person and my husband’s a happier person when we’ve had sex.” 

Cameron Bure and her husband have been married since 1996, and they share three adult children: Natasha, 24, and Lev, 22, and Maksim, 20.

‘I’m A Christian. My Husband’s A Christian’

Cameron Bure has long been known as one of the few unapologetically open conservative Christians in Hollywood, and faith has played a huge role in her marriage.

“I’ve been married for 24 years,” the actress said during an episode of the Confessions of a Crappy Christian podcast. “I’m a Christian. My husband’s a Christian, and I’m really proud that we’ve managed to stay married for 24 years. And the fact that we have fun and we flirt together, this is part of what makes our marriage work. This is something to be celebrated as a Christian.”

We applaud Cameron Bure for being so open about the role sex plays in her marriage, as she spoke about it in a way that was classy and befitting of the good Christian woman that she is. If only there were more celebrities in Hollywood like her!
