Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and his two-time failed presidential candidate wife Hillary, is slamming the rapper Kanye West in a new interview. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said she’s removed Ye from her running playlist because of the way he’s treated his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
“I’ve had to let go of Kanye because it’s just, I can’t. Just the way that he has treated Kim Kardashian, the way that he has talked about women is unconscionable to me,” Chelsea told Entertainment Weekly. “That was some of my favorite running music. And I have removed it from my music library.”
West and Kardashian have been engaged in a bitter divorce for over a year now. He frequently took public jabs at her boyfriend, the former “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson, who she recently broke up with. When it comes to this split, Chelsea wants it to be known that she is firmly team Kardashian.
“I have long admired Kim’s commitment to criminal justice reform,” Chelsea said. “I knew she’d gone to law school. I knew that she was doggedly committed to these issues and to individual incarcerated people’s efforts to lessen their sentences or fully commute their sentences.”
“But to hear her talk about how this is such a significant part of her identity, of how she thinks about her role as a celebrity, of how thoughtful she is about where her celebrity can help and where it may be harmful,” she added. “I just was really impressed by how not only important this is to her, but how important this is to her definition of who she is.”
Chelsea is currently promoting her and her mother’s new Apple TV+ show “Gutsy,” a nine-episode series that Variety says “follows the mother-daughter duo as they celebrate the women who inspire them.”
Some of the women included in the series are Glennon Doyle, Dr. Jane Goodall, Mariska Hargitay, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, Megan Thee Stallion, Amber Ruffin, Amy Schumer, Gloria Steinem, Wanda Sykes, Symone (Reggie Gavin), Abby Wambach and Natalie Wynn (ContraPoints).
The show will also feature Chelsea and Hillary participating in various unusual activities. Check out a trailer for “Gutsy” below.

As much time as Hillary Clinton has spent in the spotlight, she says filming this TV show made her uncomfortable at first.
“I was nervous,” she claimed. “Being in front of the camera in this series was kind of a leap of faith for me. It was outside my comfort zone. But doing it with Chelsea was both a great way to come together around stuff we have talked about since she was a little girl. I wasn’t alone, she wasn’t alone. We were in it together.”
“I have always known Chelsea was brave and incredibly hardworking and a good sport, but I really was impressed that she was willing to step up and do whatever she was asked to do, [whether] it was put on a firefighter’s uniform and try to manage that big giant hose or go surfing or go rappelling down a waterfall,” she added.
“She was in for it, which was good for me because I could not imagine being able to do any of that,” Hillary continued. “And frankly, I don’t think our guests thought I could either. But she was terrific. She was there. She was in the moment. She really grabbed hold of whatever the challenge was. So I love that about her.”
“Gutsy” premieres on Apple TV+ on September 9.
