Shia LeBeouf Makes Shocking Confession Of Faith

Child star and noted weirdo Shia LeBeouf has had some ups and downs over the last few years. He was once one of Hollywood’s most prominent young stars, but a series of events pushed him out of the limelight.

He’s still working though, trying to mount a comeback. And he’s doing it with a new identity as a proud Roman Catholic.

Why Shia LeBeouf Converted to Catholicism

Now, the once celebrated star looks to return to Hollywood in a role about famed mystic Padre Pio. He first came into contact with the Catholic faith while living at with Franciscan Capuchin friars to better understand Pio and his life as a monastic mystic. At the time, his career was in a tailspin, and he even contemplated ending his life.

His faith journey saved his life:

“I know now that God was using my ego to draw me to Him. Drawing me away from worldly desires. It was all happening simultaneously. But there would have been no impetus for me to get in my car, drive up [to the monastery] if I didn’t think, ‘Oh, I’m gonna save my career.'”

LeBeouf was astounded by the forgiveness that came with following Jesus, which led him to commit his life to a new faith. You can watch the full interview below:

LeBeouf is known for his dedication to roles and preparation; for a role as a cartel hitman, he got a full torso tattoo.

I don’t know if this is real or just for a movie, but I hope it is sincere. I grew up with LeBeouf and know he’s capable of great things if he can just keep his head on straight. I hope he can gain the forgiveness of those he has hurt and move forward in life.

What Shia LeBeouf’s Been Up To

LaBeouf’s career took a nose dive over the last few years. After a few public outbursts, mental health episodes, and an arrest for battery,  LeBeouf was accused of abuse by musician FKA Twigs. This happened at the height of the #MeToo era, and the allegations made LeBeouf unhirable. He was also taken off the upcoming film ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ due to safety concerns.

Other Famous Religious Actors
