Former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson will be going for gold at ONE on PRIME VIDEO this weekend.
Johnson takes on Adriano Moraes for the ONE flyweight title. The event marks the first on the Amazon service and will stream live in the U.S. in primetime.
For “Mighty Mouse,” this is another opportunity to add to his legacy.
“My style never changes,” he said. “My style is always come-forward. And in mixed martial arts, the way I was brought up in this sport, it’s supposed to be a clash, right? A struggle. Just like in wrestling. There’s always a struggle between two human beings.
“So for me, I’ll just go out there and push the pace and just fight.”
The 36-year-old dominated the flyweight division in the UFC for several years before being traded to ONE. He was riding a wave of wins until Moraes stopped him in 2021.
Moraes scored a second round knockout when he landed a knee that floored Johnson. That was his first loss since 2018 when Henry Cejudo claimed the UFC flyweight title against him,
