One of the longest-running show’s in history is living television for good. Days of our Lives, the famed NBC soap opera, departs the channel after a 57-year run. But don’t worry; you’ll still be able to watch new episodes.
‘DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ will move from NBC to Peacock and become a streaming exclusive.
The move will end the show’s 57-year run on broadcast television.

The Bradys and the Hortons won’t be leaving us forever*. Days is moving to NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.
After more than 14,000 episodes, NBC will show “Days of Our Lives” exclusively on Peacock, the network’s streaming service, ending the soap opera’s 57-year run on broadcast TV.https://t.co/J1xENwkbM0

This decision concerns many fans who worry some of the older viewers who don’t have access to streaming services will not be able to watch their beloved stories.
There are currently just four soap operas still on the air today.
The 2010s saw long-running soap operas meet their end as high production costs and dwindling viewership caused many networks to move away from soaps and toward talk shows.
Despite moving to Peacock, many long-time fans are mourning the death of the series. I admit it does feel weird knowing it won’t be traditional TV anymore. But then again, when’s the last time you watched something on regular TV with commercials that wasn’t the news or sports?
I’m so upset. NBC just basically cancelled #DaysofOurLives I’ve been watching since I was 4. My grandmother and my parents watched from the very beginning. It’s Ike they killed my best friend since childhood. #DOOLhttps://t.co/9feng3bDgQ

I’m glad it wasn’t cancelled but this still feels like an end of an era for Days Of Our Lives ? https://t.co/G26hLeevqz

If my 87-year-old grandmother can figure out Netflix, anyone can.
this is absurd. just cancel it. imagine me trying to tell my grandma to log in to Peacock. In fact, come September, I’m just telling her it got cancelled. https://t.co/tqiwHMBsy4
