Bellator 283 Results: Jason Jackson Dominates Douglas Lima

Jason Jackson took advantage of his opportunity Friday night at Bellator 283.

Jackson stepped in and topped Douglas Lima in the main event live on Showtime. THe win moved Jackson to 16-4 overall as he swept all five rounds on all three scorecards.

“I just did what I had to and did the strategy that I knew I had to. I didn’t want to risk it because, at the level that we’re fighting at, anything could happen,” Jackson said. “I wanted to take him to deep waters and drown him, so I came prepared for five rounds. I could go 10, 20, it doesn’t matter. Ain’t no way 25 minutes was going to stop me.

“If they come to me with a fight and it’s not the title, it better have a lot of money. Right now, I want one thing, and that’s the title. I want to be a champion. I want to be the champ. I’m going to be the champ.”

In the co-main event, Tofiq Musayev finished Sidney Outlaw, catching him just 27 seconds into the first round. Outlaw was to challenge Patricky Pitbull, but the champion was forced out with an injury.

“First of all, I want to thank my coaches and club Sanford. I respect my opponent,” he said. “I appreciate him for a good fight. As for how the fight was, I hope the fans can tell better.”
